Incredible food, and I'm writing hoping they will go back to what you/they once were. Please take this as constructive feedback. Can you get back to what made you awesome? I've been eating here for over 10 years, back in the day when you had punch cards and indoor seating. Prices have gone up significantly, and portions have gotten smaller. A sign of the time, yes. Consistency has fallen apart. Although I order the same thing EVERYTIME, the price, quanity and quality are different everytime...boo!!! 👎🏼 Please, go back to quality food, served predictablely and accurately charged. My fresh shrimp spring rolls used to a 'wrapped up' in one shell. Now cut in half, both ends drop the veggies, boo!! And, I'm used to 3 whole shirmp per roll. Last week, I got 3 1/2's of shrimp and cut side to the inside to not be noticed. I order extra 'peanut sauce', and you charge me. Sometimes, I get a extra little one in addition to what is included. Sometimes I get a small tub 4-6 oz. I'm fine being charged and, I tip $20 no matter my bill ensuring your original quality, portion and that you'll stay in business. Why are you charging me for peanut sauce?? 🤔 Spice level is absolutely inconsistent. Many times my noodles are not stirred when cooking so they are chucked together. Today, my meal wasn't stired?? Brocoli was soggy (over cooked) and this dark color??? I'm not sure what's happening, but let's get back to the basics, what made you popular and sustained you through COVID. Sadly, My friend and I are going to Happy T ( just down the street) next time we meet for lunch. I hope you can figure it out. First update: I wrote the review to help the shop and clearly he was too overwhelmed to see or apply the feedback. Wow. Read his response. SMH. Daniel is unprofessional and defensive (an obvious sign of guilt!)and clearly so irritated he missed the point: Consistency! I thought I made that clear. 🤭 Can you imagine he accosted my friend and blamed her for this review? Odd & frightening.

What a gem, easily the best food in Puyallup, and honestly ranks up there with some of the best everyday Thai I’ve had in the US. I can see why people come from all over the south sound to eat the food here, it’s that good. Pictured is the Street Noodle Bowl, togo. They have 5 spice levels advertised, where 5 is quite spicy unless you’re used to it with a couple higher level spice tiers that incorporate Thai chilies and at the spiciest ghost peppers. It’s excellent, well portioned, and has a great underlying broth/spicing. My only gripe is that I waited too long to eat it and the shrimp/chickenI think it would’ve been even better fresh out of the kitchen. They’re currently takeout only, but I’m excited for when they can open for in-person again! Also, their black rice pudding is pretty good. If you haven’t had it before, check it out.

Really like the new owners, food quality is great and the transformation is night and day from previous. They have a reward program too which is nice since most Thai restaurants don’t offer that. It’s take out only, no dine in and that’s completely fine. They are very kind and hospitable and just all around a nice experience. I know take out only is a break for a lot of people, but the quality and prices are worth trying them out. Also if you do have any allergy concerns, let them know, they’ll make sure your requests are taken care of without any push back. If they’re not able to guarantee a specific request they’ll let you know in a kind fashion. So yeah, really like this place! Lunch special- red curry is great!

Residing locally for a couple years, we finally got around to going to Appethaizing. Why did we not go sooner!?!

It has been our good fortune to enjoy Thai food in the area: Silk Thai on 6th in Tacoma and May Kitchen and Bar on Vashon. Appethaizing is an equal of both.

A curry and a pad thai are stables of good Thai. We ordered there and took our dishes home. We found both to be exceptional: flavorful, balanced, made to ordered heat, savory, and superb. With spring rolls and dumplings as sides, both also exemplary, our first meal at Appethaizing was not merely excellent, but memorable.

When you find a good restaurant that serves a particular kind of food, there is no need to look further. We will look no further - and neither should you. Appethaizing is wonderful.

Go. Feast. Enjoy!

Update: We have eaten the same selections twice, again. However, we added - to try an additional item - a Thai Fried Rice with Seafood Medley.

It was not fresh.

As I write this presently, the two members of my family who consumed small helpings are both feeling unwell.

I can only speak for the items initially mentioned, but nothing else.

After three great meals, this is exceptionally disappointing.

Second...and last update: Acquired another meal - after a lengthy delay in returning, including having not been enticed by discounts - and, unfortunately, it will likely be our last.

It was evident that the chicken used was not fresh, having been repurposed. Other ingredients were fresh, but some also seemed tired.

Let me clear: At the outset, this place rocked. But over time, the quality has become more variable. And though I yet perceive that their heart is in the right place, my last two experiences will deter me from spending my sums here in the future.

Time to...

I was really excited to kill time while my car was getting an oil change here. I walked over and found out they don't have any inside seating. The lady at the front actually recommended I go to the Mexican place next door.... 1st sign customer's aren't their first priority. Then I asked if it would be possible to do a lunch special (they end at 3pm and it was 3:08pm) I didn't think that was a super big ask since they knew I would have to eat outside on the concert or walk all the way back to the dealership but that was a no as well. When I joked and said maybe this was a bad idea since I was hitting walls left and right the gal literally walked to the back......I guess she really didn't care if I ordered or not..... needless to say I left really disappointed.

Update- A gentleman who works there saw I wrote a yelp review and was still outside. He actually came out to yell at me. Not exactly professional or apologetic.

Second update- Unfortunately, they responded to the review and yet again reiterated their unprofessional behavior and the truth of the situation stands for itself. I highly recommend they think about all the opportunities they had to make the situation better and instead not became defensive or resort to name calling with their...
