I brought a very nice Citizen watch in to have it sent somewhere (supposed to be the factory) for a new eco drive battery (watch was dead and would not turn on). The lady at the counter thought she'd take a try at turning it on by pulling on the side set pin as hard as she could. I told her "that's not going to turn it on" but she continued to abuse my watch. She then agreed she would "send it in" after fifteen minutes of mishandling. The estimate was $50-$100. I also left my Seiko watch to have it's battery replaced while I went shopping, as it was dead as well. When I came to pick up my Seiko, I immediately noticed the back plate was not in the original orientation. I paid for the battery replacement and left. Over a month had gone by and no call with update, so I called them. They said the new estimate was $480...and that it came to them with a broken set pin and damaged time set (the entire insides). There is absolutely no way with it's mild usage, the TIME SET needed to be replaced. And I know for a fact the set pin worked when I left it with them, and I'm inclined to believe that lady broke it at the store before even sending it. Two days later my Seiko watch went dead from a probably used battery they sold me. When I went in to pick up my watch after the repair, they replaced the dead battery in the Seiko once again. This time the guy there struggled for at least 15 minutes doing god knows what with his back turned to us trying to replace the battery. I feel like he may have secretly broke that watch too and tried to fix it quickly so we wouldn't notice. Battery replacements in these takes very little time. YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING TO A WALMART JEWELER!!! WARNING.....Never let the Goldsmith do any work on your rings, HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING!! It took this guy to try to fix his sloppy work 4 times until I said NO MORE!! And the sales person that day just said 'Im sorry about this'. And said nothing else to me! He ruined my wedding ring. We bought a lifetime warranty with my ring set so on my 6 month ring check all he had to do was repair a few cracks and adjust the size. He completely ruined the back of the ring. He did such sloppy work that I swear this guy is blind! I had to find a Fred Meyer Jewelers that used a different Goldsmith. This new Goldsmith is now has to send the ring to an outside Jewelers to repair the work this so called 'Goldsmith' did! And the shank has to be completely replaced and that's not cover under warranty!! So I'm expected to pay for the damage that was caused too!! Not to mention how upset i am about having to replace part of my wedding ring that means so much to me!! We purchased my ring from a different Fred Meyer jewelers and the diamond fell out 4 times within a year! The associates at the other location tried blaming me saying I was hitting my ring too much, also the jeweler didn't even line anything up on my ring. Needless to say it was an awful experience.

I came to this Fred Meyer jewelers where the associates were so caring and helpful. They allowed me to exchange my ring, no questions asked, and also offered for their jeweler (who has been with them for 20 years) to fix my ring. They were understand, helpful, very knowledgable, and everything that a jewelry sales should be!! I will ALWAYS buy my jewelry from this...
