Bumpy's Pub — Restaurant in Puyallup

Great hole in the wall. The food is ok. But nothing special. It is however better than a lot if dive bar food. The pizza crust has a strange taste, but it's passable and the burger and fries were substantial r enough to fill you up. The guys prices were extremely reasonable. That being said, the drinks are what you come here for. Stiff, no fuss. I'd gladly come here over many other places in Puyallup. It's a lot better on prices than the loose wheel by far. But it's having in atmosphere, small and you can't bring kids in. It's pizza at least had more flavor in the sauce than Fat Zach's, but it is in no way better than it other than the taste difference comes down crust, as Bumpy's isn't a soft crust. It's definitely not a Wicked Pie pizza quality just around the corner, but it's also nearly the same size pizza for 12 dollars that can feed 2 people instead of 20 something dollars. I was introduced to this bar by a few friends about less than a year ago and I always have a good time whenever I visit! The bartenders are super nice, sweet, chill, and they definitely know how to make some good drinks to make you feel good!! Any time I have visited they always greet and welcome me with beautiful smiles and they always take great care of me! As busy as the bartenders can be on a weekend, I appreciate them making the effort to make small chats with me or with anyone they can to make them feel welcomed and seen. Respect them and they will respect you, simple!

The cook, big shout out to him!! A few times I was cutting it close to order food in near closing and he still went out of his way to make it! For anyone that orders food last minute and still decides to make it, you better tip the cook!!

To the security staff, thank you for all you do!! I know on the weekends it gets hectic and I appreciate you guys having the patience to keep things fun and under control as possible!

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. The food was mid, the drinks are poorly made, and these people working this place are RACIST. My fiance and his friends, who are people of color, got kicked out. They were the only POC in the establishment. Now, you might be think “they MUST have done SOMETHING wrong”, but I promise you, that was not the case. I spent a couple years bartending, so I understand bars have their rules and things happen. However, this is the story: They weren’t doing anything that I (a white person) or any other white person in there, wasn’t doing. We had been playing corn hole and dancing around a bit (a slight one-two step, nothing crazy). None of us were too drunk, more like buzzed. When my fiancé and one of his friends went up to the counter, they kicked them out by telling them that they had to leave. When asked for a reason, they refused to provide one.
