Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Quakertown

We stopped here to try the new pickle menu items. The drive-thru is very tight. Not their fault, but something to note. It was tight in my Buick Encore, had we brought my husband's F-150 like we had planned it would've rubbed the gates and drive-thru window. There was a delay before someone took our order and a very long delay at the window waiting for someone to take our money and again between getting 1 drink and the remainder of our order. We were in the drive-thru for a total of 8 minutes. We got about 5 minutes down the road and realized they forgot to give us our pickle lemonade. We called as we were turning around and spoke to the manager. He did not apologize but did offer to give us a free item when we returned. I walked in, there were 2 parties ahead of us. 1 couple who had ordered long before and was waiting for there food and another couple who had ordered on the app and added 1 item in store. I waited 4 minutes just to be addressed by staff, when I told them that we called and they forgot an item the f.o.h. staff seemed surprised, when I said we were promised an extra item he put his hands up and said, "that aint me, that's them" pointing to the back. The manager heard me, popped his head out, confirmed what I was waiting for and dispensed a pickle lemonade, put it down and walked away. I waited an additional 4 minutes for the manager to pop back out, pour a 2nd pickle lemonade, put them in a carrier and mumble sorry without making eye contact when earlier he spoke loud and clear and looked directly at me. The fried pickles were dried out, the glaze on my sandwich was non existent, the only thing that was good was the lemonade. I already don't usually eat at Popeyes, this experience backed...

Today, I drove almost an hour to get to this place. I heard incredible reviews about their chicken sandwiches, finally I gave in into the oversaturated ads, and decided to drive all the way there. I get to the parking lot, dirty, cluttered with cigarette butts, soda lids, plastic straws, basically an assortment of things. The gist is, it looked not that clean on the outside. I'm about to order when I find that it isn't working (also why was there mold on the upper left, no ma'am). So I move to the next ordering booth, and I order 2 chicken sandwiches (one normal, one spicy). I'm getting in the drive-thru, and it is T I G H T. I felt like my car was going to get chipped or dented if I move in anymore. Also, it made me really uncomfortable, the yellowing paint on my left (giving me the childhood trauma I never had), and the abandoned stores on my right. Like at least try to do something with the paint situation, which if you didn't notice had numerous slurs on it. So about a minute later, I'm in my car, I'm eating my chicken sandwich. Huh? Is this really worth the hype, the drive, all of it, for this. It's just popcorn chicken. Also why did my food come out the second I came through, that was a little fishy. What about I just make popcorn chicken and but it between a bun, huh? Then the spicy chicken sandwich (aah, hell no). This wasn't the spicy chicken sandwich I was fantasizing about in my hour-long drive. There was only a mild hint of spice. Spicy chicken sandwich, more like 'hint of spice' chicken sandwich. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIFIC!.. i went in, got in line. The girl at the front end of this register was already SNOTTY. so, we ignored her rude remark telling her BOSS to take our order insted.. went on, ordered. Got our food rather quickly to be honest, ( the issue does not lie there) [ my husband and i are traveling, we DO NOT live in PA. ] we had brought our IPAD into the fast food place. (We had been driving for approximately 6 hours. ) we were watching a show on OUR ipad and i kept feeling people talking and whispering and staring. I ate my food. Then went to refill the cup, and i hers the girl say on her headset to someone.... "they're leaving." Whiever she had said that too must not have herd her and she repetaed it louder whilst placing her hand over her mouth to "keep me from hearing" unfortunately, i heard her. So i asked, Is there a problem, she replied so damn snottily " were not a movie theater". Sorry BUT LAST TIME I CHECKED:::::::::
