This place is just absolutely terrible. The first time we at here months ago we got tacos and burritos. Asked for some extra sauce on the side (which I said I had no problem paying for). They went and charged me over $25 just for extra sauce for a couple of tacos and 2 burritos. Fast forward a few weeks later, we decide to give them another shot. Food isn’t the worst. But there’s def better places around. Well $80 later. Our order was completely messed up. Called. And they refused to fix it or remake it. We haven’t been back in a few months. So tonight we decided let’s give them one more try. It’s Saturday night, they close at 9. I’m maybe 7 mins away. I call at 8:15 to do take out. And place an order for yet again 2 burritos. Lady answers and before I can even get thru “hey I’d like to place an order for pick up” she rudely cuts me off. And says sorry we are closed. So confused, I ask “don’t you close at 9pm?” And she responds “yes”. So I ask again “so I can’t place an order? It’s only 8:15”. She says “no”. I’m done. Don’t even waste ur time with this dump. You want cheap good authentic mexican food that’s literally 3 mins away? FIESTA HABENERO! Family run! Super nice every single time we go! Food is always fire! I called them immediately after this lady hung up. And placed my order. Got there and home before it was even 9. Oh and they have...
Read moreI'm no greenhorn when it comes to authentic Mexican food and this is the real deal. To my knowledge there hasn't been a local Mexican joint this good since the heyday of "La Mexicana" on 7th St. in Allentown many years ago. TT is VERY clean and cozy with Univision playing on the TV and most patrons I saw there would certainly know good Mexican cuisine, and if it wasn't - make it at home. Menudo is one of my litmus tests for any Mexican restaurant and theirs is to die for. Went back the day after my first visit it was that good. Next for me is the chile rellenos. The tacos tasted like something you would grab from a little stand in Guadalajara. As one other reviewer noted the guacamole was delicious. Sublime. It seemed many of the locals were ordering the fish special offered and I saw nothing but bones going back to the kitchen. High praise indeed. If you are looking to recapture the flavors you experienced on a vacation to Mexico or perhaps the taqueria you frequented while stationed outside of San Diego you've found it!
PS - evidently Patel wouldn't know standards of quality, authentic Mexican food, or cleanliness for that matter, if it hit him over the head...
Read moreFor a long time we have been customers of this place. Until today after several times that the, joung guy who answered the phone told us that they were close and it was at 7:23 pm scheduled time says close at 8:00pm I could persevere that he was very arrogant with me and this wasn't the first time so I deside to confront this guy after few times plus recommending all my families and friends it was not appropriate for him to treat me like this. I exposed the situation that he did not act the way hi should with clientes but to my surprise I was much more arrogant than I thought, it makes me sad because the young girl and The cook lady are very sweet but this young man who declared himself the owner of this business. Who ever really owns it, this business would have to eliminate it this guy not have any personality at all could seriously harm the business. I and my wife will not return to this place again, this young man does not treat us even as clients. I wish the owners good luck. I really will love to the owner know this since I know how hard it is to keep up with rounin you...
