Yes 5 stars, but......Love this place, food is always hot & on time being delivered, however there is a couple of reasons why we don't order often. Haven't ordered in almost a year, $100+ order for 3 adults, 3 entrees & 2 appetizers, little pricey, but yes we're able to afford this. But, when you order Mongolian beef with the "hot pepper" off to the side on the menu meaning it's spicy you'd expect that, no it wasn't spicy. I ordered garlic shrimp, no "hot pepper"indicating it'd be spicy on the menu, but per my pictures I received many hot peppers along with a sauce that had a lot of red pepper flakes swimming in it. I am sensitive to spicy foods & I couldn't finish my meal. Bummer considering it's $20. I'm not sure if the restaurant mixed up our orders, but we will not be ordering again for quite sometime once again. No, we won't make or break them, just wanted to say a few things is all. I'm sad to give a review like this because we've ordered a lot in the past & hand visited the restaurant been living here in QC...
Read moreWe have been going to the fast food Chinese place (the one with the black and white panda bear) for many years, but lately their food quality has gone downhill fast! Some things tasting like they are 3 days old! Tough and chewy to the point you can’t even finish the meal cause the taste is so off! And they don’t give you much to start with!!
But Golden Harvest food is so refreshing! The orange chicken was so crispy yet tender inside! The sauces were perfect, and the vegetables freshly cut! Service is friendly and the wait for your meal is shorter than expected! The meals come with plenty to eat… not just a bowl of rice with a few pieces of chicken on top!! The entrees come in their own to go dish, so you’re not paying for a large bowl of rice with a small sampling of the entree!!
So we now have a new place to get good Chinese food with generous portions for about the same as the drive thru Chinese restaurant where you get cheated on what you pay for!!! Thank you...
Read moreWe were in the area and I was craving lo mein so bad. I was not disappointed! I got the beef lo mein and it was so saucy and not dry like most places. My husband got the Mongolian beef and, of course I had to try it too. We both thought it was some of the best we've had. More meat than onions, plus the crispy rice noodles. We also got the chicken fried rice and loved it too.
Yes, you're given your food in takeout containers with paper plates and plastic utensils. But honestly, this is smart AF for them. The portions are big, so you're more than likely going to take it home anyways. Less work for you, lower costs for the business. It's also stated at the door on a big sign, so you have the option of not eating there if you don't agree with it when...
