Checking In at Boston's Must-Visit Flagship Coffee Shop—A Morning Staple for Locals

Checking In at Boston's Must-Visit Flagship Coffee Shop—A Morning Staple for Locals

It's neat that the first Dunkin' ever is right here in Quincy. There were closer Dunkin' locations, but I went to this one solely for that reason. The outside has more of a retro feel because of the original logo. The parking lot is small, and there aren't that many tables inside, but there were a handful of people on a weekday evening. My online order took a bit of time to prepare, but my drink seemed to have been prepped with care, as it came out looking pretty nice. - Small Iced Churro Signature Latte ($4.19): All of the churro flavor was in the whipped cream, but I liked the drink overall, and the price was reasonable. - French Cruller Donut ($1.59): The donut was so small. It seems shrinkflation has hit everywhere, as the donut I got the other day from another Dunkin' was also much smaller than I remembered. However, the taste was good. It also tasted good dipped in my latte. Overall, this is probably one of the better Dunkin' locations in the area: no issues with service, decent selection of donuts still available even later in the day, and clean interior.

This location is the first and original Dunkin' Donuts. Opened in 1950, this location was the beginning of the huge franchise that is a staple of the New England area. Obviously, it has been modernized and looks similar to your average Dunkin' shop. The notable differences are the signage on site that proudly displays the story of founder Bill Rosenberg and credence to this location being the official birthplace of Dunkin'. The food and coffee are delicious, just like any other Dunkin'. Service was fast and friendly on my visit. They have a small parking lot, so during busy hours, it might be difficult to find parking. The shop itself is rather small, but it was clean with no visible issues. This is a nice little stop off if you're in the area and are a fan of Dunkin'. Some photo ops, and a tasty meal are guaranteed. And if you didn't know, America runs on Dunkin'! Please like and follow my profile Leasure Trading Co. for more great locations and experiences!

I feel like the positive comments are bribed with free products or you are being told to leave a survey and if that employee is there on your next visit they will get a free beverage. Other comments that seem negative, hey you can’t deny someone’s experience! I wouldn’t buy food or want my food to be made from staff who wears a preventative mask or (appears to have a recreational drug problem) even when they aren’t sick and having dental procedures don’t require face mask, from my experience working in a detox center it is a cover up for other things beyond dental procedures. Staff will make your coffee wrong if you show them any kind of attitude, the lack of orders not coming out right is because of management overworking staff and not keeping up with the business so employees takes it out on the customers and when you try to correct the manager is agreeing with staff who made the mistake and suggest that the customer doesn’t have to return. For the first Dunkin’ Donuts it was by far the worst experience as a customer and former employee. Why settle? When there are plenty other GREAT Dunkin’s out there..don’t get caught up in the history! The business doesn’t match the history until they get rid of the old and...

This place is great to pop into and get your morning coffee. Unfortunately the afternoons are completely different, and if you're in a rush I would not stop here to get your coffee. And don't like saying negative things about people or places, but I placed an online order this afternoon five minutes before getting there. It was just one coffee I ordered. They had a line when I got there. I got it so I just stood there and waited. And watched every single person in line get their coffee. And watch the girl continuously pick up my coffee cup and put it back down and help somebody else. I finally spoke up and nicely told them I had been waiting for my coffee for over 10 minutes. The man apologized and went to make it. The girl then kindly told him that online orders or priority and need to be made right away, yet she repeatedly ignored my order. Unfortunately this place is a huge hit or miss in the afternoons. Depending on who's working the afternoon your coffee might taste good or it might not taste...
