Colton's Steak House & Grill — Restaurant in Radcliff

VETERANS DAY 2022 our Son is also a veteran took my wife and I to Coltans in Radcliff, KY for Dinner, it was 3:30 pm we were greeted with is a table ok and and two steps in, with a follow me additude, by the greeter, menu's and dinner ware layed on the table your server will be by shortly when we inquire about complementary veterans meals it was limited to lunch menu only I ordered country fried steak for myself, my son ordered ribs, my wife ordered a ribeye med well not on the lunch menu, my Son also ordered himself and I an old fashon 11 dollars each for 2 6 oz drinks horrorable drinks tasted like medicine, Woodford reseve my favorite burbon and a beer for himself , my wife and I also had sweet teas ,our food was delivered to our table by a young lady that referred to me only as handsome, very uncomfortable to myself, to say the least, I have been married to my wife whom was present for 33 years, very bazaar, my Son also present, not regarded in this fashion and no he is not ugly he is a 30 year old young man, the waiter had to be asked to refill our glasses, my sons beer came much later in the meal, the ribs were over cooked to point that the bone was soft. The extra dressing for my salad was not delivered, environment felt cold and uncomfortable due to the fact of it being a complementary dinner, the waiter did state Thank you for your Service to my son and I at the delivery of our check, I did request a bag of complementary peanuts as we left, they were not offered as we entered, was just in General a very uncomfortable experience will certainly not return,our bill was around 40 dollars ,Thankfully, and was glad we did not pay more for such a Disappointing experience. My food was fine very basic, my wife said her steak was good nothing to brag about,we did have fried pickles they were good, hope others have better experience, we will not be returning, have not been there in over year before now and we will not return, we usually choose Longhorn steak house in Elizabethtown, this experience reminds me, why, Very disappointed 😞. Being it was a Tuesday evening I went with my 6yr old and 3yr old, it was quiet. I've never actually been inside before tonight but I did order out once from them before. Server was nice and friendly, attentive he kind of pushed the meals out kind of quick I had only had my salad less than 5mins before entrees came which with kids I'm ok with that since quicker food comes the quieter kids are but we hadn't even finished our appetizer before my salad came with rolls but whatever I guess. Kids.......well my 3yr old asked for mac n cheese when it came he decided he didnt want it server was more than happy to exchange for a burger but before it even came out the server said it was going to be a few more minutes asked if I wanted it to go I said sure he walked back and someone had already walked out the other door with the burger, take that as you want it didnt bother me at all, server didnt charge me for the mac n cheese either which was nice kind of a relief i was kind of upset with my son but the server made it easier for me to swallow some pride their if you will. Before we left the kids used the bathroom it was clean but there was a dehumidifier plugged in near the door i believe, not overly upset with that since it was clean but they should work on fixing the exhaust fan over just putting a dehumidifier in there for a bandaid solution. First time here, not a fan. The server was good, Stephanie, she kept the sweet tea coming and was very friendly. I had no complaints until the food came out. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye, Steak Fries, Okra. As you can see I tried a few bites of each, I'm not a fan of the Hawaiian flavor. I'll take the hit on that, I love pineapple but this was not good. So I shifted to the Okra, it was under cooked and had a raw taste despite being fried. I tried approximately 5 to be sure I didn't just pick up an oddball bite. Fries were ok I guess, but my appetite was gone by this point. I can honestly say that this is the first time I've not finished a plate and also refused a to-go box. Over $40 with tip and I ate maybe 10 bites total, I have no desire to try again later... probably grab a fast food burger on the way home.

One big thing that stood out is that no one even bothered to ask why I sent my entire meal back. No one asked how the food was. No manager came by to see if there was an issue when I didn’t eat. It felt like they knew the food isn’t good so let’s avoid asking. Just my opinion of course.
