Golden China Buffet — Restaurant in Radcliff

I go to this Chinese Buffet fairly often, perhaps once every other week. It's only because my coworkers go there for lunch. With my wife, I never pick this one.

Food is fine, and price is alright. ($8 and change for lunch buffet with drink). Nothing great, but nothing horrible either. Though sushi and "fresh" food, I will never eat here- they look pretty bad. Otherwise, regular Chinese Buffet affairs are fine- deep fried and stir fried items.

However, service is miserable. I can't remember anywhere else I tipped less than %15, but I've done it more than once here. Once, the server was pouring iced tea to the guy next to me, and water from condensation was dripping all over my food. That's like wiping the outside of jug and wringing the rag over my food. And she spilt iced tea on my food. She casually said that she was sorry, but didn't really seem that way at all. Drink refill is slow, and they would literally toss straws/receipts on the table, and sometimes, receipt would fall on your food. When I tipped $1 after a bad service, manager (or owner?) commented "one dollar? kind of tiny." Perhaps they should retrain or fire some bad servers before making a snarky remark.

Very nasty place to eat. The smell alone was so foul it about made me hurl at the door. The was hardly any food choices. The stuff looked like it had been sitting out for hours. I got some chicken wings and sat down at my table with them ready to eat. I made grueling discovery. They had still had chicken feathers on them. I was so grossed out. I call the waitress over and showed her. She got the the manager over to my table and they saw the feathers and tried telling me that is the the way they all are. I told her this is Disgusting and that this is going to make people sick. She tried saying that they come from the company like that. That was her only defense. I told her that they need to drop that company then. Cause they cannot serve like this like this. I told them that we will never be back here again. I've been there several times over the past 5 years for their buffet. My number one complaint is the food is NEVER hot. I don't quite understand because I've been at the buffet when they bring out new pans.

Also, if you get a carry out buffet then be prepared for the price to be different each time. This may be due to children ringing out you at the cash register. Yes, they have young children at the cash register! If the adults are busy then their children will be ringing you out.

I called today 7/18/2016 to verify the takeout price and she quoted a different price from the others I previously paid. At one time, the older man said the cost went up to $8 then two weeks later when I returned it went up to $8.50. One of their son's (looked around 12) rang me up on Saturday and charged me $9.
