I recently placed an order through Grub Hub. The Grub Hub employee arrived to the Fish House in a timely manner however, the Fish House only presented the Grub Hub delivery associate only half the order. When the mistake was realized upon delivery, the Grub hub associate contacted the Fish House and was informed that the other half of the delivery was still at the restaurant. The Grub Hub associate returned to the fish house to pick up the remainder of the order. By the time the full order was delivered to my house, the seafood was cold and rubbery and was so bad we threw it in the trash. I immediately contacted the restaurant to report the issue. I was told that the Manager was not present and they would convey the issue to him and he would follow up with me in the morning. The following day I did not receive a any follow up. I called the restaurant to again address the issue. The cashier answered the phone and ask me what the issue was. As it turns out, it was the same person who I spoke to the night before with the complaint. She told me to hold on as she was going to speak to the manager. When she returned to the phone she stated the manager said it was Grub Hubs fault. I then asked to speak directly to the manager. The employee proceeded to tell me the manager was not there. This was puzzling since she just told me she spoke to him. I have now spent two day trying to speak to the manager always being told he's not there. usually the food is pretty good, however all they want is your money and do not care when there an issue that can be easily rectified. Furthermore , I really hope the manager is aware that his cashier is making business decisions on his behalf. This is a Military town and a lot of patrons as myself are in the Military. I will surly inform everyone who ask were to eat to not go their due to their unprofessional demeanor when it comes to customer service and treating not just people but members of...
Read moreWorst seafood that we’ve ever had. The fish house that was in Elizabethtown was one of our favorites so we looked forward to driving to Radcliff to eat since that one closed. Sadly disappointed. Actually shocked at how bad it was. I had grilled shrimp and scallops. The scallops was like chewing a bouncy ball. Not sure if they cooked them from frozen, overcooked them or what. Grilled shrimp was a tad more palatable. The corn had zero butter, zero salt, zero seasoning. Tasted like water bubbles bursting in my mouth. I asked for salt but that didn’t help. Again, shocked at how bad it was.
My husband got the fried shrimp and when I thought I couldn’t taste worse, I tried his. Poor thing had sat there choking it down since we paid $40 for it. The shrimp were so overcooked you couldn’t hardly bite thru them. Like truly unbelievable that they serve this food. The fries were hard and tasted like they were cooked in 2 month old grease.
We didn’t complain because the lady was nice up front and I’m not sure it would have done any good, but it was bad, so bad.
We had heard a good recommendation for it earlier in the day, not sure if this person went during the day when it’s a different cook? Or what.
I had looked forward to trying the chocolate lab afterward but once I discovered how bad the fish house was, that they’re the same owners, I lost faith, we left without...
Read moreI am being VERY modest with this review. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was clean, ordering was easy, the cashier was friendly and helpful. I ordered a 4 piece fried perch plate that came with fries and coleslaw. Unfortunately, I was HIGHLY disappointed with my food. My fries were soggy, and heavily covered with seasoning (that didn’t really have a taste but I’ll get to that later). The fish… the fish OMG it was HORRIBLE! I was surprised when I ordered that they don’t season the breading (cornmeal) instead you choose which fry seasoning you want on top. I elected to try lemon pepper and Cajun on top of my perch. When I opened my tray I was highly upset that cornmeal was used to bread the perch…. Like what??? The dry seasoning that I got on top…. Well you guessed it….It didn’t help… there was a serious lack of seasoning, I ate one piece and left the rest. The coleslaw looks and taste like it came from KFC, after one bite I put it away. Now, the reason I gave it two stars is because my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her crab legs. However, I wasn’t impressed. I felt they were a bit overpriced. $27.94 for 2.5 clusters of crab legs with no sides (my daughters choice). I’m new to this area but I’m sure there is better seasoned seafood elsewhere. I will not be returning to this restaurant nor will I recommend any others to try...
