It's been about six years since I've eaten at a Waffle House and I'm used to the one in my hometown, Georgetown, KY. Not to get off on a tangent, but the one in Georgetown was god awful and the food tasted like someone hadn't cleaned the flat top in months. Regardless, the staff there made it such a good experience, I didn't care what my biscuits and gravy tasted like. Back to this review in Radcliff, I didn't have high expectations because of my previous Waffle House but on September 25th and October 17th, I was honestly blown away. I could taste the biscuit and it didn't taste like chard stove! The coffee even tasted like fresh coffee and didn't have any grounds in it. Both times, it was like this. People that complain about poor/slow service are honestly just impatient and if they are expecting to be waited on hand and foot, they can gladly put in an application if they want better service and think they can give it. Bree, both times I was there, was excellent and I'm glad that the team that served us both mornings are there. There wasn't your typical "Waffle House Cook standing outside smoking before you walked in". Everyone was doing their best with a lot of customers inside and made sure everyone was taken care of. The whole team worked together, were singing, and providing the best service they could that morning. I will gladly drive to this location from Elizabethtown to have this great experience. Everyone that worked the morning of Sunday, October 17th, should be given a big thank you again and thank you Bree for the amazing service you gave my girlfriend and my coworker that morning. We will be back to see...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friend from Texas had been in Ky for training for the past 5 weeks and enjoying the Radcliff Ky location every Sunday. Well this was his last Sunday for breakfast at this location until next year. He invited me to join him after church service. We arrived around 12:15 pm. They had plenty of staff and dining facility wasn't full. However,. Service became slow. Food was half cooked and I specifically asked waitress how was the grits. She said,. Perfect. I wish I had taken a picture of my grits. If Chef Ramsey from the Iron Chef. He would have broken the sound barrier. My friend was so embarrassed because he boasted on how delicious the food was. My grits was so hard, on topside and barely wet. It reminded one of uncirculated cement. I actually picked it up with my hand to transfer it to another plate. I laughed the whole time. Even the waitress,. Suggested to another patron behind me in the next booth to ask me about the Grits. All I did was glanced at the gentleman and he high tailed it out of there. So my friend,. The next day went to another waffle house on his way back to Texas. He sent me a true 5 star Waffle House breakfast from Jackson Mississippi. I told him that the waitresses were probably jealous because he brought someone . sorry but this past Sunday was bad...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe walked in and there were 3 people waiting on a table. There were 2 empty tables and 4 or 5 empty counter seats, all needed to be cleaned. We spoke to the people ahead of us asking which table they wanted or if they were planning on sitting at the counter. They said it didn't matter to them. We asked them again did it matter where they sat since they were before us and they said no. We indicated we were going to sit at a table in the corner. We made our way over and a waitress screamed at us that the people by the door were first and we couldn't sit down. I turned to her and loudly said back we asked them where they were going to sit. Wherever they picked, we would sit at the other table. Then the waitress hollered across the restaurant at the other people asking if it was ok with them. They looked at her like a deer in the headlights. Her screaming across the restaurant was totally unnecessary. Her level of professionalism was ZERO! Pretty much every time I have gone to a waffle house you sit at an empty dirty table until the waitress cleans it off. So why was this any different? She didn't need to be yelling at customers across...
