My experience was a tale of two extremes - exceptional food and less-than-stellar service. Let me start with the food, which was absolutely outstanding! The same level of excellence did not extend to our server. Unfortunately, their service was marred by a less-than-friendly attitude. It seemed as if we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests. I also didn’t appreciate our server's fingers come into contact with my dish as it was placed on the table. This left me with some hygiene concerns and a feeling of discomfort. As an out of town visitor, I always read reviews and look at photos to make my selection. That’s how I found this restaurant! So I’ll leave you with my photo of the causa trio plate, which was delicious and the best I’ve ever had despite the unusual garnish. Hopefully this is an outlier incident....

Came to pick up an order and was only given one small sauce. When asked for another (out of courtesy since it was a bigger order) I was met with the front desk lady passive aggressiveness telling me “there should be more in the bag” when i already showed her there wasnt. She then in a condescending manner told me she would have to charge me which would not be a problem for me but it was the way in which she said it (just because she was angered she was incorrect). I’ve ordered and picked up before and been given the corresponding sauces, but this lady turned it into a rude encounter. Furthermore, she did not call after a portion of the order was left behind and when we came back they had refrigerated for resale. Incredibly sad that customers should be treated this way. Excellent customer service! I walked in to order takeout. First time there. Got something simple - salchipollo. It was delicious - hot, fresh, fried well but not greasy. You can tell alot about a restaurant by how they treat their simple dishes. The chicken was fresh-breaded and not frozen and the fries were fresh cut as well. I also got some alfajores which were delish! When it was taking longer than usual for my order to be ready, they sent over an empanada to keep me company while I waited lol. That was delicious and my first time having a Peruvian empanada. Raisins inside were new to me but were delicious with the meat. Everyone working there was friendly, sweet, and courteous.
