Wheelie Good Pierogi — Restaurant in Rahway

From the delicious homemade Pierogis- to the ranch drizzle and garnished chives, this place is heavenly! Both the pierogi and kielbasa are immaculate, it’s not over nor under cooked. The size portion is fair and the price is very affordable. Staff was friendly, and quick to answer the phone, tender the order and check me out.

I ordered the polish happy meal with chicken, bacon & ranch pierogis- it came with a side of sour cream, spicy mustard, rye bread & beet salad. It was fulfilling and more than satisfying. The food tastes so fresh and authentic, there’s no doubt in my mind the dough is freshly rolled out.

It’s location however is tricky. It’s tucked between two buildings- so you must pay attention, it’s easy to miss. Once you get there it’ll be easy to find for the second time. They’re open 3 days a week- which is fine! This builds up the anticipation to place my order on Friday’s !!!

The food was so good I ended up ordering twice, on the same day, within the hour. Ugh! So worth the wait. I strongly advise you stop and try them out this weekend...

I’ll preface this review by saying I’ve never had authentic Polish food before. I went in with no expectations, and what made it even better was the fact that they have an “I don’t know” ordering option for those who really don’t know what to eat. I thought I was getting just a normal dinner - instead I got a complete religious awakening and felt love that no man could ever provide. As part of my “I don’t know” option, I was given kielbasa, kapusniak soup and two potato and cheese pierogis complete with a slice of rye bread, caramelized onions, beat spread and mustard. Plus a drink! Of course I also had to try the Nutella pierogis because I’m a woman with no self control. Thank God I listened to my womanly intuition - this is probably the best food I have ever had. Every bite was full of flavor, and none of it sat heavy in my stomach. Went there for the first time today with high expectations to only be left quite disappointed. Ordered a lot of different food and here is our opinion. Mushroom kraut onion pierogi were very bland with an abundance of black pepper. Roasted garlic potato pierogi were very bland. Bacon cheese potato pierogi were OK. Chicken bacon ranch pierogi were OK. Buffalo chicken pierogi were definitely the best and quite delicious. Kraut kielbasa soup was horribly bland. Beet salad was good and fresh. The garlic dill pickles were super delicious. And lastly the most delicious and truly authentic Polish dish was the Pickle soup.
