Amedeo's has been a family staple. It started with my husband's grandparents. Of course we are all State fans so that helps! I've never had a bad meal here. Tonight they hit it out of the park. It's hard to get anywhere that will accommodate our family. We are loud. There is a lot of us. Tonight we had almost 20. Their were kids running around. We all arrived in shifts. The private rooms are great for large parties. They are very accommodating. I was able to call and make reservations the day before. In the past, we have made it day of. Now let me tell you about Marquel. He is by far one of the best servers I've ever had. Our drinks never were empty. He is one of the most personable servers. Always has a smile on his face. Landon also helped us and he was great too. Don't get me wrong....we just really like Marquel. The state memorabilia is also awesome. Jessica, the manager, asks how we are doing when we come in. She is generally at the front of the house. The last few times we have come she walks around the check on all the customers. We were there for my step daughters 12th birthday. Thank you to all who made it easy, enjoyable and so good!

I have to say that the ambience for a sports restaurant, it was very different from what I initially expected. We sat in one of the tiny booths and had great service after we were seated! I really enjoyed the Pack pasta and my friend ordered the eggplant Parmesan which was very good too. We were surprised to see a cannoli in desserts and happy to try it out. I think it was pretty decent in taste and presentation, it was only my second time having one and I had one of the bests for my first time. One little thing we were annoyed about is while we were waiting to be seated, another couple came in and they were taken straight to a table instead of us to one of the small booths, I am sure it wasn’t reserved and we just didn’t see why that would happen. Anyway, will definitely check this place out again! The food was yummy and the quantity and service was worth the price!

Update: We just visited again today, and their service and food is just as amazing as our first visit. I highly recommend coming here!!!! My fiancé and I decided to try this place out b/c it had some great reviews, and boy were we happy we did! We came in on Super Bowl Sunday, and were immediately sat in a booth, but they were very accommodating when we needed a table instead. The wait staff were prompt and extremely nice to us. The waiter helped us to make a decision to try the Cherry Cider (cherry syrup in Apple Cider), which was phenomenal! We ordered appetizers, salad, and main courses, were were all very delicious, and came out in no time at all. This is definitely my new favorite Italian Restaurant in Raleigh, and we both plan to come back again!!!! Thank you to all the hard work of the kitchen staff and wait staff for making our evening wonderful!

Unfortunately, only 1 of the 3 members of our dining party enjoyed their meal: my date's Pack Pasta was actually quite good, however my "Deluxe" Pasta was anything but (imagine spaghetti with a jar of Ragu and frozen meatballs) and the cockroach at our adjoining table spent the evening upside down in death spasms--perhaps the Cheesy Meatballs we had to start didn't sit well with him (although I don't see how, seeing as there were only three small meatballs and a sparse sprinkling of cheese). Meh food (if not overpriced for what you're getting), decent service, but DIRTY. Dirty carpet, dirty walls, dirty table tops - at least we know they spray for roaches?

Come for the NC State history, stay for the fried mozzarella! Never had fried mozzarella that was so stringy, flavorful, and fresh tasting! Had the Hot Italian Sandwich that tasted good but could have used a little extra meat. My daughter enjoyed the chicken Alfredo. All in all a good experience.
