This visit was not one of the best ones to this establishment due to long wait times (to be seated and waiting for food) as well as unsanitary actions of the staff. My husband and I walked in and stood at the "wait to be seated" area for over 10 minutes. While we were standing there no one greeted us for the first 5 minutes. It was awkward to be passed by two servers and a manager several times without being acknowledged. I had interaction with some guest who were already seated to determine whether I was going to stay or not. Two different tables told me that it took a while to get seated but the food came out quickly. This made me decide to give them a few more minutes to seat my husband and I. As I stated after 5 minutes, the manager shouted from the register, "will be with you in a minute".
Fast forward to us seated. We were greeting by our server and drink/food order was taken. While waiting on food to arrive, two different employees went to the bathroom with their aprons on. Ewwwww. I know this as our table was right beside the bathroom. This is so unsanitary. I really wanted to say something to them both however I refrained. Eeeeww, I'm disgusted again.
.......to the meal. The meal came to the table one dish at a time. Once it all arrived, it was good. Lol I ordered skillet with a stack of pancakes and my hubby ordered tbone with eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. The pancakes came first, then about 3-5 min later my skillet came. 3 min after that hubby steak and eggs came (no toast).
I asked the server about it and she delivered it 5 minutes later by sliding it on the table in a unprofessional manner as if she was mad that we asked for it and she had to bring it. We had to ask for drink refills throughout our meal while tables around us received a different level of service. Hmph.
I know they were busy but that should not affect the way level of customer service received.
In the end, I still tipped but this is only because I've been a server and empathize to a certain degree.
I will charge this visit to being short staffed (an assumption as there were three servers and a manager working the front of th house) and...
Read moreI had a disturbing experience at this location today! Earlier this morning when I ordered and picked up my food the service was great, I even tipped the young lady at the counter. In addition, I went in later that day to bring my food in as one of the associates told me too when I called , while I was trying to eat. The first manager made it seem like “things just happen”. Yes, I understand things happen but compensate your customer and have a compassionate attitude about it. Especially, one that is NOT being rude about the situation. I ordered a Cali Club sandwich with seasoned fries and a garden salad. While eating the sandwich, I unexpectedly bit into a piece of plastic that had somehow made its way into the food while being cooked. This was not only shocking and extremely unpleasant and disgusting , but it also posed a potential health risk. (This was the tag that the turkey meat obviously came in). The first manager lied and said she couldn’t print me off a receipt so she went and got the GM, Christina.The managers had a MAJOR problem with me asking for a receipt. I patiently waited for the GM to come back out (approximately 10 minutes). Apparently, I was “doing the most “, was called “girllll”, and was told “the girl should have printed me off one last night , I can’t give you one.” (in her words), by the manager Christina. Which resulted in me calling the police because she was adamant on not printing me one for my references, although she had already printed herself one. Thankfully, I had already gotten my refund, I just wanted a simple receipt because corporate needed the order number. This incident did not have to escalate at all. Read moreArrived at this Denny's around 11 pm tonight. Just got out for a concert and I was so excited to eat. They were a tiny bit busy but nothing too crazy. We sat down and immediately I knew we weren't going to have a good experience. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to greet us and get our drink order. I ordered a milkshake and got it 30 minutes later. I should've walked out but I assumed it wouldn't be much longer for my meal... I was wrong. Like I said previously I arrived around 11, I didn't receive my meal until 12:45. There were 4 of us and we each got our food at different times. My friend's boyfriend got his 10 minutes before everyone else. Then it took probably another 5 between each of our meals. The servers were standing around on their phones and gossiping. We probably only talked to our server 3 times the entire time we were there. My friend ordered the brisket sandwich and it wasn't even edible. The brisket was so hard and burned. Our waitress was nice until she realized she probably wasn't going to be getting a tip. We could hear her say to her coworker "my table is so pissed he won't even eat his food". Yet she didn't come check on us. She never asked if we were okay. She brought us the check and we asked to have the brisket off and she was extremely rude about it. She huffed and snatched the receipt and went to talk to her manager. She handed her the receipt and said "here you deal with this". The manager never apologized for any of it. Not for the acts of her staff or for the wait. As I was walking out I warned several people of the service and they ended up leaving. They had already been waiting awhile for a table as well.
