Arrived to bar to have a cigar. Went to humidor to look at the poor selection. Gathered the cigars were were going to smoke, we are a party of 10, more than half of us didn't drink, 5 of us smoking. Bartender (bald with big red beard) rushes over and asks if we can read. To our surprise, There was a small post it note staying to not go into humidor without bartender. We then asked while he was there if we could just grab them and come pay. He told us in a very aggressive voice that he will get to us when he is done serving the people at the bar. He made a point to be overly rude and aggressive. 20 minutes goes by of us standing there waiting for cigars. We obtained the cigars. Smoked them. It was fine. I wouldn't want this loose cannon working for me. Will not return to a place that charges 50% over retail for a Serie V to be treated like hoodlums by an angry 38 year old bartender, unfortunately this is what Raleigh has...

If you don't want smoke... I respect that. Go to the other thousand places that cater to you. This place is for old world Americans who were founded on the freedom to enjoy their vices.

And P.S. Don't worry about the person who has to work there. He loves it.
Just leave the last few bastions of American freedom alone.
They have a wonderful selection of nice Whisky and Bourbon, and a simple selection of a few good cigars. You can play darts, watch sports, or just hang out...
Read moreAs one of vanishingly few NHL fans from Alabama (my team's the Detroit Red Wings, but I watch not for the teams, but for love of the game), I found this place refreshing in its love of the sport. I wasn't judged for being a Red Wings fan. I wasn't judged for living in a non-NHL state. But that's the sports side.
I found the cigar selection to be rather small, but varied in the types of cigars available. They may not have the exact cigar you're looking for, but they WILL have something that pairs well with what you happen to be drinking. I might call this a "bar-forward" cigar bar.
I am uncertain as to their policies on outside cigars, but if you are to bring in an outside cigar, please follow proper cigar bar etiquette, and buy one from the store, as well... And have a shot or a beer while...
