The Joel Lane Museum House has been lovingly preserved and maintained by the colonial Dames for ever and this house is over 200 years old. A house built in 1762 by hand by craftsman, artists, Slaves, women who birthed 10 children to get 2, without electricity and hot water.

We went on a 45-60 minute tour of the house and small grounds surrounding, guided by the museum director. He was very informative and gracious and obviously had a true interest in sharing what is known about Joel Lane and his family.
