This was my first time trying Manhattan Pizza on Falls of Neuse Rd. I tried to order online at first but the website was glitching (I included a picture of what I was about to place for reference to my review). It was no biggie so I called the store to order. It was a pretty long order, so we went through it slowly. The order was repeated back to me but with a few errors, i.e no sweet peppers or tomatoes on my hoagie but they heard no banana peppers. I quickly mentioned again that it was no sweet peppers and that I did indeed want banana peppers. After that all was on the way in 15-20 minutes. Since business had been slow (I asked as well as observed), I arrived about 15 minutes after placing my order. I paid and then waited. The lady in the front packed up part of my order that had been ready sitting in the heated area and then told me it would be a few minutes. I waited and checked some emails on my phone. By the time the order came out it had been about 30 minutes since I placed the order. I was a little disappointed because it wasn’t busy (as they mentioned) and the timing was all off. Nonetheless I was excited to eat some of this delicious smelling food. I rushed home and when we opened our food, we were disappointed. The cinnabites had either dried out while waiting for the second half of our order, or didn’t have any sauce placed on top like it’s supposed to have (I was eating with a manhattan pizza familiar person). It was also chewy as if the dough was made differently. Then the pizza had LOTS of tomatoes on it - when we had asked for light tomato, as well as the hard bit on the end of a tomato on the pizza. When I opened one bag there was a piece of hair in between the foam boxes - at least not in it but should be more careful when packing even though food has already been put away. The hoagie had sweet peppers on it, not banana peppers. That was also disappointing because the cashier had repeated back to me no sweet peppers and yes banana peppers on the phone when I corrected her the first time. Overall the food was okay, not terrible, but also not what we ordered, and the time wait was not pleasant either I wouldn’t have minded had they said the accurate wait time. I will probably try them again in the future, but the first time was not impressive.

We've liked the pizza from this place and the lasagna. Weren't blown away by the wings when we got those. I got the family special today to try the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs. That's when the food definitely took a turn. I regretted getting it and wish I had just stuck to pizza. The meatballs were good, pasta a bit overcooked unfortunately there wasn't much sauce to try. Got the meat sauce and paid extra for meatballs. There was so little sauce that I called thinking it might be a mistake. The supervisor on the phone said they put the same amount of sauce on every pasta, even when meatballs were added and that it was a cooperate policy or amount. Which seemed strange to me. When have you ever gotten meatballs at a restaurant as an appetizer without sauce? Even without the meatballs there wasn't even enough sauce to coat the pasta. She said people sometimes add extra sauce. I'd rather not get the dish at all then to have to pay extra just to get enough sauce. People here have always been so nice, if it is a cooperate decision then I really hate that for them. I called the amount of sauce laughable because in my opinion it was. So if you do go here, stick to the lasagna and pizza (haven't had any sandwiches or non italian food). Both of those have a ton of cheese and sauce and in my opinion are good.

Manhattan Pizza, totally received my endorsement, this afternoon! Our family enjoyed, a fabulous, deliciously seasoned meal. The service was awesome! The Staff was very attentive & caring, for example, our grandkids were playing; instead of focusing on eating & spilled one of the soft drinks.I apologized immediately & without any hesitation, or complaining, the unsafe mess was taken care of quickly. I also made sure, the dedicated employee was compensated appropriately. The menu is huge! The New York City style Pizza is certainly authentic! I clearly know, because it's my favorite style, since I was a boy...Make sure, when you go, you are ready to eat, without any further delay;visit them very soon....

My wife and I decided to have pizza on Friday night. Instead of going to our usual spot I decided to try a new place. I looked on Google to see how many stars my usual place had and said to her let’s find a place that has a higher rating. We saw that Manhattan Pizza had one of the higher ratings in the area and many, many reviews. It’s not a place I would normally pick. It seemed like it might be trying to be something it wasn’t. Boy was I wrong. The ordering experience on the phone was fantastic. The store was clean, and nicely decorated. The signage was easy to read and understand. They had Gelato!!! But the clincher and the reason for the 5 star rating was the pizza! Fabulous, some of the best I’ve had. The best I’ve had in Raleigh by far. The toppings were fresh. Baked to perfection. The sauce was proportioned perfectly with just the right amount of tomato tang. It was the dough and the crust that put it over the top. Not too thin, fresh and airy, and the perfect compliment. I’ll be back and will be telling all my friends. By the way I picked up a couple of cannoli for dessert and my wife said she now has to have cannolis every week. Thanks and all the best to my new friend from Queens behind...
