I came to Wendy's at 8:15pm via Drive Thru. Cashier was rude, was told they were out of chili, and when I got home I noticed the order was incorrect and did not receiveĀ a receipt.
I called the store first at 8:28pm, and spoke with the night manager, Tiffany. When I began to explain my complaint, she began to cuss and yell at me at the TOP OF HER LUNGS; then hung up the phone.
I immediately called back and was told she lost the call, but when I told her I can't believe she just screamed at me, she started doing it again, while cussing, and hung up (again).
I called a third time to try and get a name of the District Manager to talk to the next day, the man that answered said 'I am the District Manager, and legally I am not required to give my name', and also told me that the Manager on Duty (Tiffany) wasn't available; when I told him I knew I was being toyed with he got extremely rude and taunted me to call the cops and hung up the phone.
I record all my phone calls. It's an app on my phone, it happens automatically. I have detailed recordings of each phone call with Tiffany and the employee in question after.
I would like these recordings to be heard and investigated by both the area District Manager, as well as the Corporate Offices; as I am sure screaming and cussing at your customers is NOT company policy.
Any job I have EVER been at, this would be grounds for IMMEDIATE TERMINATION to ever treat a customer that way.
I will post recordings on Wendy's national Twitter/Facebook to garner attention from the community and corporate headquarters.
I'm so glad I installed the call recorder; otherwise she has probably done this to others and gotten away with it!
Also, in case I have the persons name wrong (Tiffany) she is African American, has dread locks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām finally sharing my thoughts because not only did I eat at this Wendyās every week, and now I canāt but I feel taken advantage of! I came through the drive thru like I always do for lunch. Now just for some context a few years ago they had already started telling everyone you canāt order a small combo⦠but fast forward back to this specific day. I start to order and I hear a woman (most likely a manager) say, āmake ALL COMBOS largeā so I said thereās no way but I pulled forward, Iām thinking I know they arenāt doing that to ppl because their meals are ALREADY expensive! I pulled forward to the window now my total is 15 dollars and change. He tries to hand me a large lemonade. I proceed to ask him āis that a large?ā He says yes and I tell him I never asked for a large meal. He says something to the lady, and fixes me another drink and fixes my total and she comes to hand me my food with a attitude⦠All Iām gonna say is this, it doesnāt matter if itās a few cent or a few dollars ITS MINE to spend, you donāt get to make that decision for me! yāall are stealing from people and if itās true that you canāt order a small meal anymore then fine but just charging people all day for large combos when they didnāt ask for one is not only wrong itās a scam through a actual company. I have not been to a single Wendyās since then because I will not give my hard earned money to a company that will hire managers that will try to take my money that boldly! Imagine if I hadnāt heard her that day! I canāt even imagine what else someone would do if you donāt think upcharging customers is wrong. I donāt know how many people they have done this to but, be careful this is wrong and yāall need to do better and do right by people that patronize...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePSA: please confirm your order total at drive-thru window and request a receipt! I was never told my total at the speaker or at the window. I had a weird feeling when I pulled up to the window and received an extra large drink (I didnāt order) and my food came out super fast, as if to hurry me along.
There was a woman who took my order, gave me my drink, and took my payment. Yet a guy appears to give me my food and the woman hands him my card to hand back to me. Odd
I then thought of a recent post I saw of someone saying BEWARE DRIVE-THRU WORKERS ARE TAKING PHOTOS OF CUSTOMERS CREDIT CARDS.
I arrived back to the restaurant, went inside and requested a receipt. The look on the guys face told it all, he looked nervous.
I told the woman I did not receive a receipt, she asked what I ordered. This woman then tells me āI think your order was one of the orders that didnāt go through, your card declinedā
I know a lie when I hear one, I asked so you gave me food after my card declined? She quickly says āyou drove off . . it happens all the timeā
Wrong. They gave me my drink and food before swiping my card, I sat there and waited for the transaction to process before they gave me my card back. So if the payment declined I was still at the window and they wouldāve informed me and requested the food back.
The woman quickly got defensive after all my questions, told me she doesnāt have to talk to me any longer. Refused to tell me her name yet informed me sheās an assistant manager.
I shouldāve looked at the reviews prior to selecting this...
