I can on a Wednesday evening by myself. First time here. Walked in, first impressions, clean, empty, sounded like a vacuum and possible a drill going off in the back and that sound continued the entire visit. An employee came out from the back very quickly and was pleasant and polite the entire time. Ordering was easy and I went with a falafel gyro and a fountain drink. I ordered for dine in and it was clear they prefer I get it to go. First the employee said to go? after I said here. Then I reiterated eating in and he said ok but it will be in a to go container, that works for me. All of the condiments were on a shelf in the back of the dining area and no napkin dispensers at tables either.
It felt awkward being there by myself, but people started coming in for to go orders which made me feel better and not nervous about trying the food. The food came out and I picked it up from the counter. Food review: Visual, wrapped nicely, placed in the pita well, way over sauced, unripe tomatoes in September, and very pale lettuce. Taste: The falafels were seasoned well but slightly over fried. The tzatziki sauce was good but could use less, the produce was flavorless except for the onions. Luckily I love onions.
Portion: 4 falafels were stuffed in this gyro, good amount and the last one was eaten by itself because it fell out.
Summary, might try it again, but would try their pizza or burger. They didn't have any visible meat to be shaved which I am accustomed to at local greek restaurants. For traditional Greek food there are better options in my opinion close by. Flavor was decent, ambience was slightly below average, customer service above average, would not recommend to a friend until i try something different that...
Read moreThis is the very best falafel edge my family and I have been to. The food is cooked to purchase and offered warm. The service was incredible!! The nice woman at the front welcomed us with a smile and also pleasantly took our order. I purchased the chicken platter, bacon cheddar burger, badmash (mobster) burger, a basket of curly french fries and also a six items of chicken wings. As I took a seat, I noticed the remarkably clean restaurant. Our food was ready promptly as well as it was still sizzling when it came out. Time for food discourse:3 Poultry plate- the hen plate was larger than expected. It was delicious, nonetheless I considered the rice to be a little oily. The hummus was fresh as well as it paired well with the pita bread. The chicken and also rice was kindly rubbed with tzatziki sauce. The rice was vivid, though a little drier than typical. Hamburgers- both hamburgers were juicy as well as not gamey whatsoever! It was a wonderful surprise, because the patty looked completely dry as well as boring however tasted scrumptious. The badsmash (gangster) hamburger was hugeeee. I was so happy the meat was halal so I can consume the tasty bacon in it. Though it behaved, I would have liked the bacon to be crispier. Curly french fries- the french fries were straightforward and also the portions were huge. They were delicious however standard. Buffalo wings- the wings were very little and also the sauce was method to sour. I wouldn't advise this product. Aside from a few points, my experience right here was remarkable to...
Read moreYou ever eat a burger with a fork and knife before?
I don't mean just to cut it in half, either. I mean every single glorious bite. Have you? And I'm not talking about a chili burger, which makes forks a requirement immediately. I'm talking about a huge, drippy, flavorful burger that will make you rethink where your favorite burger comes from.
Well, that burger is the Gangster burger, and it is at Falafel Corner.
Pictures don't do it justice. It is amazing from bite one to bite 50, and it is definitely something that should be on your list of things you need to try in Sacramento.
Their gyros are also splendid, and full of rich flavors that scream authentic and fresh. But that burger.
That burger. If you had told me that my favorite burger would be from a place that sells falafel, I would have laughed.
I'm not laughing...
