Handels Homemade Ice Cream Rancho Cordova — Restaurant in Rancho Cordova

The first time I visited this business, 10842 Bear Hollow Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670, I was served by a great young lady that gave me a CUP OF ICE CREAM that was definitely worth the $5.50 that you pay for their great ice cream. And their ice cream is great. The last two times I visited this location I was served by a very young man and his habit is to NOT GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY'S WORTH. There was more ice cream in the first visits cup then there was in the second and third visit when being helped by this young man. It makes a person feel like they were robbed without a weapon! So if you get there and see a young man taking orders and serving the ice cream TURN AROUND AND WALK QUICKLY AWAY. You will not get your money's worth. Perhaps with a little training they can teach this young man how to give a customer the same thing he would want to have. A half of a cup of ice cream is a ripoff and I do not recommend this young man's service. Remember, if you see a young man taking orders and serving ice cream TURN AROUND AND WALK QUICKLY AWAY!!! I hate to be the first to not leave a 5 star review, but we got 2 small 2 in a half scope ice creams, one on a cone and one in a bowl they were like a one scoop very small compared to other locations for the price. I get your new but ill try it again and if it's not like the folsom location or orhers then I would rather make the further drive for a better serving that's worth the money. Maybe someone needs to show them what a Handel's 2.5 scoop looks like.

Update: The icecream portions were much better and was good this time. The only complaint I have is when you go up to the window was the counter was so filthy and you should have employees wipe them down ever so often, including the patio where you sit was covered in icecream droppings. Why don't you hook a hose up...

I’m extremely disappointed with this location of Handel’s Ice Cream. There is no indoor seating, and the outdoor seating area was in terrible condition — sticky tables and cockroaches crawling everywhere. Seeing hundreds of cockroaches in and around the seating area made me question the cleanliness inside the store as well. This is a much newer store, and I had high expectations after attending their opening, but the lack of sanitization and hygiene standards completely ruined the experience for me and my family. Unfortunately, it was so bad that I ended up feeling sick after visiting. Food safety and cleanliness should be a top priority, especially for a place serving families and children. I truly hope management takes immediate action to resolve...
