I come here about once a year and get angry every time. I some how swear I'll never return but over the course of the year forget that the lack of customer service is why I hate purchasing food here. No smile, no "thank you" not even "you're welcome" I've complained to the owner who apologizes but makes excuses about how young the staff are. Today my lack customer service was provided as the cashier and owner were close enough to rub elbows. I walked up, and didn't get a greeting, instead "you're here for pickup?". With a stone cold face was what I was greeted with...she told me the amount due, band ed me my card back and said "your food is over here . So I asked her, " I guess a "hello" and "thank you" are not in your vocabulary, you don't use any of those words do you? That's really pour customer service..". The owner started apologizing as I walked away. Note I'm mad that I freaking returned here. This is experience number 3 in the three years I've worked in rancho. My manager shares the same experiences as I. Obviously it's what's trained..or not trained as the manager seemed to be OK with the lack of dialog. ...
Read moreMy brother has been bringing home food from here for a few months and some of the reviews here about the quality of food are astounding and silly. Everytime I've eaten here the quality has been consistent which is the first grade of what makes a good restaurant. To me if my meat doesn't have a small char with the flavors of the day's cooking I wonder why I'm eating at a restaurant in the first place. And yes the sauce is sweeter than some places but it has depth and hits the spot. The orange is not just for decoration, it will bring out some of the flavors you may have missed if you're reading this. It's easy to park and walk around even if they are full there, it's in a pleasant area. The most affordable in that area and a few years ago it was my go to because they are faster than the other options around so perfect for a lunch break. The tempura is my favorite though. Fantastic, hot, flavorful, and consistent every time I've had it. And I havent even had the tempura without a waiting period from...
Read moreWe briefly ate here after a meeting I had down the road. The food was alright. Nothing that would make me come back or mention to a friend but also wasn’t a bad experience. They used dark meat on the $8.99 chicken teriyaki plate (comes with grilled chicken, rice, little iceberg salad, orange slice, cup of sauce). All of the items were good but nothing justified the prices. Rice and salad are so cheap. It doesn’t cost that much to them. It was 5 bucks to get extra meat if you decided you needed more. Like what? The soft drinks were $2.75 so we passed on those. That’s so overpriced. So you know how much those fountain drinks actually cost them? Try like 5 cents a customer.
The portions were medium sized. They weren’t generous but I would say probably average sized if you were paying like 6 or 7 bucks for a plate. I don’t like overpriced food unless it’s like the absolute best quality and service...
