Mimosa House, you have my heart. Rooting for you to make it big in this game. You have mastered this formula really well. First time visiting the area from Oakland to host a meeting in Rancho Cordova. I had been inquiring with Mimosa House about breakfast catering. It was a Sunday around 2pm. Place was full and lively. While I went to follow-up on my catering, I decided to dine-in. If felt like home. Hands down to all the workers in this establishment, they love what they do, they work well in collaboration, constantly in motion, smiling and happy, they make it fun and pleasant. Food for the Gods, made with love. Portions with abundance I felt like I will never eat again. Fresh, tasty, fulfilling and satisfying all around. I had the fish and chips, a side of the house-potatoes. Mimosas were yummy, just the perfect mixture in flavor and texture. Perfect all together. I want to thank Athena - for being a wonderful host, recommending me the best foods and mimosa, very kind and attentive, kept checking on me making sure I was comfortable where I sat. She noticed me working on my laptop and wanted to check if I wanted to sit next to a poweroutlet. That's really kind and thoughtful. Kindness is rare these days, so when I see it and feel it ... being considered feels good. And this goes for everyone I've had the pleasure to interact with through Mimosa House. Haley - thank you for taking the time to sit with me at your busiest hour of the day at the restaurant, to take down my catering inquiry, getting through menu options, and making the connection with Tristyn to complete my catering order. Tristyn - you know how I feel about you by now. THANK YOU for staying close to me in getting my catering to the finish line. I cannot sing enough praise how accessible and responsive you have been, with lots of patience. Thank you for your time and your patience; what a patience. I learned a lot from you what it means to care about what you do, what it means to serve and care about others between time, communication, and kindness. Thank you for putting me at ease. I catered for 20 people with different pallets and they loved the spread. There was something for everyone. I got the French Toast buffet, came with eggs, bacon, sausage, and French toasts all packed separately in chafing dishes (came with sternos as well to keep everything warm). An order of yogurt parfaits with fresh fruits (none of those soggy types of fruits; those were fresh and great fruit combination), and toasties. The staff keeps referring to the Owner as the Owner :) so I will just say I had the pleasure of meeting the Owner, he brought the delivery and set everything up for me ahead of time. I speak testimony on behalf of my team, everyone devoured the food, appreciated the quality, the taste, the freshness. Food is love. It's a gamble when you are not familiar with the area and the establishments in the surrounding areas. I won with Mimosa House. I hope you guys make it big, and start a branch in the East Bay. Until...
Read moreWe knew it would be a long wait since it was Mother’s Day, we were ok with that since we didn’t live far.
For one, their phone number doesn’t seem to work, we tried several times and it would ring 1-2 times and disconnect.
Upon arrival: we were finally seated (4 of us) at a bar styled table. My dad is kind of muscular and my mom, sister and I were squished next to each other around the table. It looked as if they added two extra chairs— as the exact table next to us only had 2 chairs. There was no room for our food plates, plus drinks and the table items (hot sauce, ketchup, etc) in fact, my mom had to move them off the table just to give a little space. We saw guests of 2-3 sitting at booths or larger tables, ummm??? Being squished was not a pleasant experience for my Mother’s Day brunch. We asked if it was possible to be moved and that table go to maybe another smaller party? And the girls up front were EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL about it. They scoffed me and gave me a dirty look like why was I even asking. I get they were busy so stress was high but that’s not an excuse to be rude as it didn’t seem like people were seated properly.
Our server was mediocre, didn’t even give us utensils for our food and sat waiting for her to come by to ask. When she finally does, she says there was none (dishes being cleaned) so she gave us plastic utensils. Although their menus for drinks and food is pretty extensive, our food was okay. Nothing super special. Our drinks were good. I’ll give them a shot another time but I wasn’t too impressed after waiting...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. I understand that wait times on Valentine’s Day will be extended, but waiting almost 2 hours to have breakfast is a little stretch. So I arrive at 10:16 and am told it’s a 20-25 minute wait. At 10:51 I’m notified via text that the table is ready. We ordered within 5 minutes and after 40 minutes of waiting for our food, I get up to find answers. I explain to the server, that I know it’s not her fault and ask how much longer. She goes to the kitchen and someone tells her that there are 5 tickets ahead of mine, which would be another 15 minutes, roughly. I asked to speak to a manager, and after explaining how long we’ve already waited, he offers a bottle of champagne, which I decline. He then says that he will put our ticket to the front. I go sit back down and ask the server for the check, as we had 2 mimosas. She says our food is ready and asks if we would like the food in to-go boxes. I decline the food, and seek out the manager again and all he can say is “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Repeatedly. I’ve worked in a restaurant before, and I’ve been in retail for 15 years. Some times, I’m sorry just doesn’t make up for a terrible experience. I’ve also been coming to this mimosa house for years and also to the one in Folsom and east sac, but 2 hours for a $30 breakfast for 2, you’ve lost your minds. I expected a little more. If you’re the owner and actually read reviews and care about what goes on in your establishment, feel free...
