I’ve been coming to this McDonald’s for years given that it’s in the heart of the City it’s extremely convenient when you want to grab a quick snack. I’m not sure what is going on as of late, but for the past 6months I’ve had the worse experiences with a Drive thru employee named Fernando and the Night manager Maria. The experiences have been brought up to the GM Bono several times and to my surprise it appears that my concerns mean nothing. Tonight I got off work late and just wanted a quick bite and although I knew better then to stop at McDonald’s I went against my better judgement and made the stop. To get to the point when I received my food this evening I checked it like everyone does and noticed that I was missing an item. Before I could ask for it Fernando shut or slams rather the window and continued prepping other orders. That’s normal for him I thought to myself but as I sat there waving my hands for 5mins while Maria the manager stood there watching I was in disbelief that this was real life. Maria opens the window with anger and irritation and asked what I needed once she gave me my missing items I asked why my experience was like this every time She said and I quote YOU BLACK PEOPLE DO THIS ALL THE TIME shocked and confused I obviously expressed my disappointment in the interaction and said I would be speaking to the GM manager again , that’s when Employee Fernando stands up behind Maria and says do what you want I’m going to call the police on you and tell them your making threats, he then continued to get my LP. In the moment I found this funny and outlandish bc I didn’t make any threats but mentioned I would be speaking to the GM. But after a Min I thought about the countless black people that get pulled over for nothing and then end up dead. The thought of me driving home from this thru just took a dark turn, will I make it home??the actions of these employees weren’t so funny anymore weaponizing the police should be against the LAW especially when your dealing with people of color. I SAY all this to say it’s clear this McDonald's and The GM don’t care about complaints or specifically the LIVES OF Black people. Tonight was disappointing and was an experience I’ll make sure gets reported at the highest levels so no other black person experiences this. If u don’t believe me just take a drive after 10pm and say Hi to the night manager Maria her snarky condescending attitude will be all the confirmation you need to know this is a true story. At this point I will be finding out how to complain on a bigger scale but just in case someone else has experienced this rude nasty behavior just know you aren’t alone. Weaponizing police and being called racial slurs should never be tolerated at any MCDONALDS IM calling on the GM BONO TO DO...
Read moreWas just told by the Arden Way McDonald's office that if I go in again they will call the police. It started when I used the app to order my kid lunch. I used points to order a Big Mac and Google Pay to order the fries. My mother In Law who was with him went to pick it up and when she got there and gave them the code the "Manager" told her the order was canceled. She called me and gave the manager the phone who would only say, "you canceled the order" or then "they canceled the order". I told her I didn't cancel it and I still have the code there must be a mistake. Apparently she just handed the phone back to my mother in law and walked away. I stopped working and drove down the street to the store. I went inside and showed her the app and the order not being canceled and she just turned the screen around and says,"see, the order is canceled!" I asked why that would be if it isn't on my end. I told her I don't even think I can cancel the order. I asked if she could show me where I would have done that. She rudely tells me that I am supposed to know how to use it. I asked what can be done to fix it. She tells me to call a number on the wall. The number is for customer complaints. I said it's not a problem on my end and it seems to be a problem internally. Shouldn't you try to fix it? She says, no. I asked for the manager, she said that's me.I asked who her boss was, he's not here. I asked his name and she gave it. I asked when he'll be in, I can't give you that information. Again she just walks away and starts making orders. I looked at the app again and at the order and I see a link to cancel the order. I walked over to the counter to show her that it's not canceled because I still have to option to cancel it. I was trying to get her attention to show her when a young man injects himself and says we don't care, we already told you we aren't serving you, you need to get out of the store NOW! I told him not to talk to me that way and if he wants to we can do it outside. I canceled the order and left just as security showed up... I walked outside with security and had a talk with him. As I'm talking to him the arrogant little private comes outside smirking at me as he's handing orders to curbside pickup. I talked to the local franchisee office and it turns out the manager was there and it was the arrogant little moustached prick. They also informed me that if I go back in the store they will call the police. All this because they had an internal error with the online order and had to handle the whole situation like I was trying to steal from...
Read moreOn March 3, 2022 I came through the drive thru around 7:45pm. I ordered two medium Carmel frappes, extra shot of espresso for one and no whip on both, those were done correctly, except for both cups were handed to me without being wiped off, which created a sticky mess in my car! I also ordered a double quarter pounder fresh, to which I was told they freshly make it for each order, and a medium deluxe crispy chicken sandwich meal with a Dr. Pepper, with light ice. My fries were "refreshed", which is were they take fries that have been sitting in the fry station, and put them back in the oil for about 15-20 seconds, so they were not cooked fresh like I requested, then I'm told at the first window that the quarter pounder meat is dropped per order, if that was the case why was it ready at the second window? You see I was a Shift Manager for McDonad's, so I know that the quarter meat takes a bit to cook fresh. Then to top it all off, I got the wrong chicken sandwich. I ordered the 4C Deluxe Crispy Chicken Sandwich, what I was given was the Spicy Deluxe. I felt as though my meal requests were not important enough to be done correctly, even though I had said I didn't mind the wait! The customer service left a nasty taste in my mouth, if you will. I received a dirty look from the young lady at the second window, and most certainly felt as if my order somehow was a burden to them, as they rushed me out of the drive thru. I know that it's difficult when you are short-handed, but it's not the consumer's fault, and they shouldn't have to pay for those repercussions. I truly feel that the entire night shift should be re-coached, and reminded that without the customers, they wouldn't even have jobs! For Shame Night Crew, For Shame! Have some pride in your work, it really makes a difference. I'd like to be compensated for my meal being messed up entirely, and having to endure horrible...
