ROYAL CUISINE — Restaurant in Rancho Cordova

The food here is excellent! The people are super friendly. The restaurant is very clean. I was doing laundry next door at sunshine laundry and every 10 or 15 minutes or so the laundromat would fill with a delicious aroma. So when my laundry was done I just had to go and hunt it down. I got there like 3 minutes before 11. And they were still open, kinda, the man was super friendly and welcomed me in. He didn't even mention that they closed at 11. I ordered the Chicken kebab, and he mentioned that there are a few sides that just come with it and some Rice so I got that and and he asked me casually if I was going to be there guest or take it to go which I found very sweet and inviting. So I was like sure I'll eat it here. So it didn't take long for my food to be ready maybe 10-15 minutes and wow this food is AMAZING. Everything was sooooo good. The white sauce is delicious I HAD to ask for extra. The chicken was sooooo good and they gave me a lot too. Rice so good. All of it! Everything got an A+ in my book. But what really got me was how nice they all were. The host told me what everything was and answered all my questions and even tho it was wayyyy past closing they never once rushed me or gave me the side eye. I've never had afghan food before but I definitely will go back. So so good. Oh my. So good. (Says with a mouth full of food)

The Royal Cuisine restaurant is a small hidden gem located in Citrus Heights. I stumbled upon this place because a gentleman was outside cooking the kebobs. The smell radiated into my car, and the rest is history. I went to dine in and order a plate to go for my daughter. The food was delicious, I had the lamb and chicken kebob and it was cooked to order and full of flavor, not dry. The rice was exceptionally light and fluffy, yet packed with flavor. They are an family run restaurant of Afghani cuisine and they are very sweet and very attentive. At the end of dinner, the young man came and brought me a cup of Saffron Tea and a dish of sweets to go with it at the end of my meal. My dinner was definitely worth it. So if you’re in the area looking for authentic cooked kebobs in a great setting, you’d be in the right place, not to mention, they are open all the time and provide catering services as well.

I liked the food. It was very delicious and of a good quality. I liked the place and the service was so nice. The people working there were so welcoming and co-operative in everything. Their host was great. We liked the dinner and the atmosphere. They are always smiling Mashallah. The food we ordered was great and we liked it too much.

I would recommend this place for anyone wants to try Afghani food. My advice is to order the Qabili. It is meat with rice and it is sooo delicious.
