I recently had the pleasure of dining at Khorasan Kabob & Gyro in Carmichael, CA, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! From the delightful flavors of the falafel wrap to the warm and welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant truly stands out. I must give a special shoutout to Atash, the amazing manager who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable.
Let's start with the star of the show—the falafel wrap. I opted for the medium spicy version, and it was a burst of deliciousness in every bite. The falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with just the right amount of heat. The combination of fresh veggies, tangy sauces, and the wrap itself was a match made in heaven. It's safe to say that I've found my new go-to dish here!
The proximity of Khorasan Kabob & Gyro to Manzanita and Cypress in Carmichael is another bonus. If you find yourself in the area, you won't have to travel far to satisfy your cravings for mouthwatering Mediterranean cuisine. The convenience factor definitely adds to the overall appeal of this place.
One thing that sets Khorasan Kabob & Gyro apart is their commitment to making samosas from scratch. While I didn't have the chance to try them during my visit, I'm already eagerly planning my return to indulge in this tantalizing treat. I have no doubt they'll be just as amazing as everything else I experienced here.
Now, let's talk about Atash. As the manager, his exceptional service and attention to detail were truly impressive. He made us feel like valued guests, taking the time to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Atash's warm and friendly demeanor created a welcoming environment that extended to the entire staff, making our visit all the more enjoyable. Kudos to him for running such a fantastic establishment!
In conclusion, Khorasan Kabob & Gyro in Carmichael, CA, exceeded all my expectations. The falafel wrap was an absolute delight, and I can't wait to return and try more of their delectable offerings. With Atash at the helm, you can expect outstanding service and a memorable dining experience. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this gem of a restaurant, conveniently located near Manzanita...
Read moreFound this place on Google decided to give it a shot. Went inside ordered lamb kabob and combo kabob. He told me 15 minutes which is the usual I went back to the counter and asked for hummus and bread which came out to be almost $9. He put it in a to-go box I took a picture of it it's literally one scoop of hummus and bread and a empty to go box with one compartment the smallest compartment that has hummus and that was $9 outrageous. It was not house-made hummus It was bought from restaurant Depot. The lamb kabob too big pieces way too big they had to cut it up a little bit but they didn't. It look like it was for stew rather than for kabob. The rice wasn't the best and it wasn't the worst it was mediocre. The chutney was disgustingly horrible. Oh I forgot to tell you It came on paper plates the one that you use for picnics at the park. And they were not stiff so when you go pick up the plate it bends in. Half the flavors on the soda machine does not work. I know they are Afghan but they are bringing that Afghan mentality into the United States business which is total different. They forget that they are here and not in Afghanistan. You don't make salad like that. You have to cut up the pieces who's going to eat big pieces of tomatoes It has to be cut up onions likewise. And Afghanistan that's how they bring out the salad because they don't know any better but we are here in the United States. Never came and asked if we need anything. Never asked of the food or service was good or if we were happy. No cares in the world. Like I said earlier they forget that they are in the United States and not in Afghanistan The worker was wearing sweatpants in the kitchen. We asked for a plastic bag to take the leftover food He gave us the plastic bag that they use at the liquor store the black ones maybe cuz it's cheaper. In a restaurant and has to be all white. No music. Very awkward silence. I'm just wondering was the guy on mushrooms whoever...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite finds recently. I came here 2 days in a row because it was so good. It is a small little place tucked in the corner of a small mall.
I had the Chapli Kabob on my first visit. I had never heard of it before. It was a beef patty with a good amount of seasoning mixed in and then crusted with more. It was very tasty and unique for me. It was served over rice with a salad on the side. Normally wouldn't think much of a side of rice, but the rice I had was exceptional. It was done just right and had a nice light seasoning.
I have also now had the gyro plate and chicken kabob. Both were also very well seasoned and tasty.
I also ordered a mango lassi and was a little disappointed at first when they were all premade in cups sitting next to the can sodas but was pleasantly surprised when I tasted it. The mango lassi wasn't as sweet as I have had from other places but I really liked it this way. Other places make their mango lassi taste kind of like a smoothie but this one had a very distinct yogurt flavor that came through. I really like this version.
The dining area is a little small but it was kept very clean. There are about 6 or 7 booths and a counter with 3 chairs so might get crowded during busy times. I saw many people pick up takeout while I was there too.
The prices are great for what you get. Can't think of another place to get the same kind of quality and quantity for the price they have for their plates.
I am definitely going to be a regular at...
