Spice Kabab in Rancho Cordova is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary haven where flavors from around the world converge, thanks to the exceptional management duo of Khaled and Cherie. As a veteran-owned establishment, their dedication to service shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. Upon entering Spice Kabab, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. The menu, as diverse as the community it serves, offers a delightful fusion of flavors, including tantalizing Indian dishes alongside other culinary delights. During my recent visit, I indulged in the aloo palak paired with garlic naan, and it was a revelation. The perfect balance of spices combined with the freshness of the ingredients made each bite a moment to savor. And what better way to complement the meal than with a refreshing mango lassi? It was simply divine, offering a sweet yet tangy contrast to the savory dishes. Beyond the exceptional cuisine, Spice Kabab boasts a convenient location that adds to its charm. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this establishment beckons with its inviting ambiance and delectable offerings. My experience at Spice Kabab left me eager to return and explore more of their menu offerings. With Khaled and Cherie at the helm, you can trust that each visit will be met with the same level of excellence and dedication to customer satisfaction. In conclusion, if you're seeking a dining experience that celebrates diversity, flavor, and exceptional service, look no further than Spice Kabab in Rancho Cordova. Your taste buds will thank you, and you'll be counting down the days until your next visit.

This was such a lucky find! On a whim, we looked for something "near us" when heading back from an event in Rancho Cordova. It looked like nothing from outside (& next to strip club...), but was absolutely worth a trip! We were wiped, so ordered to go. The staff was super friendly & welcoming, and helped us select some options as we weren't familiar with Afghani food. It was so good! We got a mixed kabob meal, meant to serve 2 (included 2 types of kebabs, rice, Naan, 2 "salads"), and an appetizer called bolani (also ordered mixed of their 2 types). Everything was so flavorful! The meat was amazingly tender. Little bit of spice kick to some of the stuff, but in the way that added depth to the flavor rather than just burn. There was a red sauce that I was afraid to try, but glad I did as it was barely spicy but SO delicious. The bolani was good on its own, but the sauce took it to the next level. (They had brought us a little of the bolani while we were waiting for the rest of our order, so not sure I would have tried without their prompting, but so glad I did!) They also had some complementary "milk tea" (similar to chai) & green tea available while we waited. Hope this review helps others discover this great new restaurant, because we definitely want them to succeed so we can get more of this deliciousness in the future! (FYI, these pictures were after we already swarmed this, so you get more than shown in the order)

We had a compamy sponsered catering through Spice Kabab, and that's when I got to taste it first. Was awesome food spread, really fresh and flavorful. Was looking forward to visiting the spot and got to try it yesterday. Great customer service was very welcoming and open to giving suggestions. We ordered chicken malai kabab and shami kabab with chicken and beef, both came with salads, chick pea side condiment and sauces, and rice. Malai chiclen kabab was super flavorful so tender! Beef and chicken shami kabob were fantastic. Both the red and green sauce are very flavorful and added a lot of flavor to rice. We got goat biriyani as to go and it was great and huge amount with good amount of pieces. My kids loved it. The pieces were very tender. I felt it could be more flavorful, but I think I am thinking from an Indian biriyani perspective :) I am looking forward to our next visit. Had a great conversation with the owner, and they were very passionate about serving good food.

For those that want a tl;dr -- Great. The food is great. Incredibly flavorful, healthy, fresh and not heavy, everything that we had was wonderful and we will gladly return. Perhaps great is an understatement -- out of this world delicious is probably more apt. Go now -- enjoy great food.

My wife and I don't eat out much; when we do eat out, we tend to either try little hole in the wall places for cuisine that we wouldn't necessarily make at home or know how to make authentically. We like small family run joints -- places that want to be a part of a community. Years ago we used to eat at the place that used to be here, but after that closed it sat empty for a while. When we noticed a new place was opened, we had planned on trying it, but just never really found the time.

Today, on the way home, we decided to try it. And we are sure glad we did. We took some takeout home -- lamb tikka kabab, lamb shami kabab, and a mix of the bolani gandana and bolani kachalo (plus some baklava for a next day snack). The lamb was amazing, wonderful flavors, tender, only quality meat without the fat or sinew. The shami -- a ground lamb similar to kofta kebab in texture -- was equally impressive. Lots of sumac and aromatics throughout each of the dishes, and the accompaniments, the tender yet toothsome long grained fragrant rice and the herb chilled chickpea salad were great. Overall, I feel that what they are putting out is exceptional.

We had ordered some bolani since I have never actually tried that. The bolani were also very good, but to be fair, I think they would be best eaten at the site. it steamed a little on the drive back--it might have helped to have not closed the lid completely of the box it was in, so I reheated them on a comal. In the end, it had this nice crisp texture that I would have had should I have eaten it there. For those that are curious, its like a spring onion pancake in chinese cuisine, but with a filling inside of either a farmer's cheese and leeks or potatoes and herbs. Both were quite flavorful and good and either would serve as a great starter.

The sauces served with everything were also nice but were not necessary to enjoy the meal. You know how some places have dry bland food and then you need to drown it in sauce? Not here. The food is so flavorful on its own, that you don't need to add even more flavor -- but each of the sauces seemed fresh and housemade, with a wonderful flavor that complimented the dishes without overpowering them. They added a bit of tartness to give a bit more dimension to the food.

We will most certainly be back. The goat dishes and some of the other lamb dishes look good, and I'm very curious to try the biryani considering the exceptional quality of the rice. I highly recommended to try this new, young business -- its owner is highly involved and is a really pleasant and...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Spice Kabob, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully decorated. It gave me a comforting and almost nostalgic feeling, as if I had been transported to Iran itself. The design, lighting, and overall vibe made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal.

The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the chicken wrap, and it exceeded all of my expectations. The flavors were rich, perfectly seasoned, and tasted so authentic that every bite reminded me of traditional Persian and Afghan cooking. The kabob was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. It’s rare to find a restaurant that can balance quality, freshness, and taste so well, but Spice Kabob nailed it.

The service was just as excellent as the food. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel like a valued guest. My order came out quickly, and everything was served with care and a smile. It’s clear that the people working here take pride in what they do, and it really makes the dining experience that much better.

I was also impressed with how everything about the restaurant felt so authentic and inviting. The atmosphere was both amazing and beautiful, making it more than just a place to eat it was an experience. The music, décor, and overall energy of the restaurant created a sense of comfort and joy that made me want to stay longer.

Overall, I highly recommend Spice Kabob to anyone looking for delicious food, great service, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Whether you’re a fan of kabobs or just want to try something new, this is the place to go. For me, it felt like a little taste of Iran right here at home, and I will definitely be coming...
