We went to eat at Cantaritos for dinner with friends. Upon entering, it looks like an average place, no decor that makes it look inviting or appealing. Pretty average. The ladies at the front counter seemed nice while taking our order. While the food was being made, I went to wash my hands and did notice the restroom smelled bad. It looked clean but smelled dirty if that makes sense? Like old water or like it had not been cleaned for a while. No biggie, looked clean. Upon sitting down, I noticed the table wasn't wiped well and the booth had old tortilla chips scattered over the seat. The front counter lady brought us a basket of chips, a red and green sauce and one sauce I assume was "queso". All the sauce came prepacked in little plastic sauce containers, meaning no salsa bar here. A friend and I noticed the green guacamole sauce was fizzy and a little sour like it had gone bad. I skipped eating the rest of it. The jamaica drink I got was ok, again, average. Food came out fairly quickly, I ordered the chicken flautas which also included beans, rice and small side of guac. Portions are average, I paid about $32 for this plate and a drink. The food here lacks flavor. The beans and rice were flavorless and the chicken flautas were meh. The chicken they used is dry and flavorless while also being sort of stiff. No shredded chicken, it's more like small pieces of possibly grilled or fried chicken? After we got done eating, our plates sat at the table the whole time until we left. No one came to pick up plates or trash. Overall, it was ok but I would not go back. The food isn't good, the place could use some cleaning and it would be nice if the tables were checked on. Giving this place 3 stars because it's average, nothing stood out and food lacks flavor. I will say that besides the green guacamole sauce, everything...

I drive by this restaurant on a daily basis after work, and I had been curious to try it, thinking it would be a convenient spot to grab a to-go dinner for the wife & I on a consistent basis- if the food was tasty. Our usual taqueria nearby our house recently closed, so I've been searching for a viable substitute. I finally convinced the better half to take a ride into Rancho Cordova from Roseville to give the place a try on Saturday at 5 p.m.. the open sign was not lit, despite the hours posted on their sign, which stated the establishment was open until 9 pm.. two workers were conversing inside of the restaurant, and after a minute of us standing near the door, reading the hours, a man pointed towards the door. I have no idea what he was pointing at, possibly the hand-written sign stating they would be closed on the following Monday for labor day on Sept 2nd. It was not labor day, it was the Saturday before on Aug 31, so that offered no clarification whatsoever. I took time out of my weekend to drive to the restaurant, so at minimum, I deserved a simple explanation as to why this business deviated from their normal hours of operation- which were posted on the door, as well as online... but instead, I was treated like a nuisance rather than a customer. I will not return to this business again, as they are obviously not interested in acquiring my patronage. There are plenty of other places to eat in the area who will gladly take my money. Business is all about relationships..best of luck to...

The chips were stale like they had been under the heat lamp all day. The large margaritas I got tasted like dish soap.

I ate a bunch of stale chips waited 20 minutes for my crispy taco plate that never came out a couple came in sat down and 5 minutes later their food came to their table. The manager came and cleaned my table and asked if I wanted anything else. I said yes my dinner so he asks the waitress where my food is and she walks over and says to me what did you order and she says did you order cheese on that I said I am finished right now and slammed the door on the way out. I will also say there were 3 men at the bar, a lady and her son and me in the restaurant when I placed the order before the couple came in. Definitley not 4...

I like trying out taquerias this one has be on the bottom of my list. First of all the music inside was so loud that it was hard to hold a conversation. The options on the menu were limited and expensive. We got the fajitas. Although the portions were large the quality of food wasn’t sufficient. The beef was so grisly that it was inedible. We did talk to them about it and the gave us some chicken instead, same thing. The chips and salsa are sometimes restaurants saving grace but these were mediocre. I can say that the help here was polite.

Lots of flavor! The chorizo breakfast burrito was super meaty and cheesy and it was absolutely huge!! There salsas were very good, bursting with flavor! The horchata was excellent! And lastly the churro was yummy, and also very long. The highlight of this place is huge portions of yummy filling food for very good prices! The servers were very nice as well. And there is beautiful seating outside in the sunshine or shade. They definitely earned a 5-star from me!
