I was so excited to visit boba planet and get a yummy guava peach slush with an order of popcorn chicken. Instead I was met with disappointment.
We arrived at 830p. This location doesn't close til 9. The store looked closed, some of the lights were off but we decided to take a look. As we walked in the girl at the counter let us know they were out of boba. Okay no biggie. I started to order my popcorn chicken, she then advised me that they close the kitchen an hour ahead.
What a disappointment! Firstly, at a boba shop, how do you run out of boba? Even if the boba was dry and needed to be soaked there should always be boba available. Second, I understand closing the kitchen but an hour before closing time? Unacceptable. Also, the store looking closed? Makes me wonder if the girl was indeed trying to get out early and deterring customers. I walked out of there.
I hope management reads this and fixes these issues. I love boba planet but after this experience I will not be coming back. I'd advise you to take your...
Read moreI used to come here all the time when I worked nearby. I live in Montclair so I'm never in the area anymore, it had been at least a year since I had been here. I was in the area and I was craving a milk tea so I stopped in. At first I thought they were closed because I didn't see anyone inside. They were in fact open so I went inside. Eventually a girl came out from the back and took my order. I ordered my usual, a Large Taro Milk Tea with Boba. I was shocked when she asks me for $9 for one drink. I usually go to Ding Tea and it's $5 for a large. I was already there so I wasn't about to walk away, I paid it and waited for my drink. My drink comes out and it comes with a janky lid instead of being sealed so you can shake it. The whole bottom half of the drink was steaming hot and it was a pain to get it mixed and an even temperature throughout. The flavor was barely passable and overall the tea was disappointing. That's probably the last time I go here. I used to like it, but it's nothing like...
Read moreWASTE OF YOUR MONEY. My mom and I both wanted a boba, we heard good reviews about Boba Planet so we decided to get drinks from there. I was sent in with $15, expecting that there would be change handed back. Instead of receiving change, I had to walk back out to the car for more money because $15 wasn’t enough. I ordered the most simple drinks you could think of-milk tea bobas. I ordered two milk tea bobas and this turned out to be more than $15. You could go anywhere else and get 4 drinks for the price of two here. Once the employee was making the drinks, I look to the back and I see her adding barely any boba to the drinks. I mean, wouldn’t you expect lots of boba for that price?! After waiting 10-15 minutes to make two drinks, they were finally ready. Overall, the boba was old and not fresh, the milk tea was way too sugary, and the price was ridiculous. In my opinion, go somewhere else where your money is worth spending. I will not...
