Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

My husband and I used to go to the Bruster's in Cypress. Also note that it's pronounced "brew-STER".

Back in 2021, we were happy to see that Bruster's was opening in Rancho Cucamonga. (This review is overdue.) They are on the east side of Haven Ave in the same area where Conroy's florist and the salon, and Papa John's is. They are at the corner. There is an outdoor walk up window to order and a few benches outside. The ground by the benches are sometimes super sticky with folks eating and dripping their ice cream.

I remember they used to open at 12pm, but they are now they open at 11am so glad they changed their hours.

We've been here multiple times already. Sometimes the service is slow. If they see our dogs, they'll ask if they want a doggie ice cream cup and those are free.

Other than ice cream, they do offer other items like sorbet, sherbets/ices, and have no sugar and non-dairy items.

My husband is on their sweet rewards program so he'll always get some deals with them. It was recently his birthday and he got a $3 off coupon. He wanted to get a scoop of their Birthday Cake (yellow cake batter ice cream with blue icing and rainbow sprinkles), but they were out! He ended up getting their new Cookie Jar Crunch (chocolate cookie ice cream with chunks of chocolate chip cookies, Oreo Cookie Pieces and chocolate cookie crumb swirl).

I tend to order the same flavors over and over (Rocky Road, Cookies & Cream), but once in a while I'll see one of their new flavors and want to try it. Over the weekend, I also tried the Cookie Jar Crunch which was super rich, but...

You can’t miss this place it’s on Haven just before Town Center in the CVS parking lot. P.S.A. this is a walk up only ice cream parlor. I was expecting to go inside order and enjoy my ice cream in the lobby. There is no lobby 🤯, there are tables and seats available outside for patrons to utilize. That aside the ice cream is delicious! I ordered a vegan banana split which comes with 3 scoops of ice cream (your choice), chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, pineapple topping, whip cream, a cherry, and a pretzel stick. The price tag for this is $7.99 bit is so beyond worth it.

They offer online ordering and orders through door dash. There’s also a rewards program that you can sign up for. Ice cream cakes, traditional cones, waffle cones, and sundaes are on the menu. The ice cream is made fresh daily and you can totally taste it. It doesn’t have that “this has been sitting in the freezer too long” taste.
