This is the closest McDonald's as well as fast food restaurant so tends to be my family's go to when we need a quick bite or what not and go not often like weekly but maybe once or twice a month if that so enough and normally visits spaced well and I would say 9 out of 10 times our food is not correct in some way so my father and I went the other day and because of our experiences with them not getting our order right and having to come back to fix it or suck it up we are very cautious always make sure to have the car quite and speak clear and loud at the speaker and listen when they repeat the order at the window before paying and double check our food before leaving the food window.... so we did just that but this time got to the food window and we're given our Sundays and drink and told to pull to number 3 it would be a few mins when asked why what was holding us up by my father the guy looked at us like "are you serious...wow" and says hold on walks away and comes back to continue saying well I'm not sure exactly I only work the soda fry and window and was told to have u pull up so if you could and my father then says I'm sorry but no we're going to stay here the guy rolls his eyes sighs and walks away again never coming back then maybe a min later the manager another young over confident guy comes to bring our food (which if it could have been brought that fast why would they ask us to pull forward and wait....) and says so what was the problem here i was looking through checking the bag and misunderstood and said on no problem everything's here thank you and he says no you were asked to pull forward and wait so why are you holding up the line still here at the window so I then tell him that our past experiences have always been not the most positive and would just rather wait at the window and check the bag in front of them having them correct anything wrong then and there instead of having to potentially park and go inside to do so he says well if that's how you feel we ask you come inside next time or can visit our other locations here in Rancho there's a few not to far I was very annoyed by that point and left without saying anything not wanting to be rude and say something unnecessary due to being annoyed and left without getting his or both guys names but I do know for fact one was a manager due to the shirt he had on.... and even if he weren't it's no way to talk to and treat customers Idk if I've just been out of the customer service field too long, or what but I was always told customers ALWAYS right even if they aren't (within reason of course.... anyways not a very positive...
Read moreI gave it 2 stars cuz it was a tad better than the other day. But I don't think I will be coming to this McDonald's any longer. The wait time during the breakfast hours at this specific location it's horrendous. Ironically it's always when this specific same manager on duty is there. I'm not sure what the deal is, if she doesn't know how to run a crew or what. But this location suffers greatly at breakfast. When I was in the Drive-Thru today, as well as the other day, I probably saw in excess of ten cars turn around and leave because they saw how slow it was going. I waited 42 minutes to get my food the other day. 42 minutes, that is horrible!!!!!! You ask me why I didn't leave? Well unfortunately I was in the Drive-Thru blocked in. The worst part about it is, I waited 14 minutes to place my order and there were only two cars in front of me. There were 7 cars total in front of me. And 42 minutes to get my food. Now if this was just a bad day, and just an aberration, I could understand. But it's always like this. Maybe not quite this bad. But bad. For example today, I waited 19 minutes and there were only four cars in front of me. That's an average of 5 minutes a car. Since I worked at McDonald's when I was in high school, I know well that the hash browns take the longest to cook. And those take a total of 4 minutes from opening the box dropping them, until putting them in the package. MAX!!! And everybody knows darn well, that McDonald's does not make your food fresh, so I don't understand what the world take so long. But I suggest if this location is corporate owned that their store manager, or if it's franchise their franchise owner, does something about this morning staff. Or they're just going to continue to lose customers. I think about myself and I would probably never go to dinner there all because of my wait times in the mornings lately. There was a lady working there in the mornings not too long ago by the name of Ida. The only reason I know her name is she always used to say it over the intercom speaker with her greeting. Which I thought was pleasant. Anyhow whenever this lady was working, the breakfast used to go very fast. I don't know if she's not there anymore? Or if she's on a different shift I don't know. But whoever is running this morning shift...
Read moreThis place pathologically gets orders wrong. I've had multiple issues with this place absolutely disregarding my order and and turning into a fast food version of improv theater, but today was something else. I ordered their two cheeseburger combo, with ketchup and pickles. This is what the little voice in the drive thru box corroborated and what the receipt championed as well, "A number 2 with Ketchup and Pickles".
Well to my dismay I arrived home to realize that, in fact, I had not received such an order. Now I'll have you know, I am a seasoned wrong order receiver at Mcdonalds, and notably at this one in particular (at least a dozen of my orders have been utterly botched over the 3 years I've frequented this location [srsly tho, it happens almost half of the time]). Thus I decided to head back up after I calmed myself from the irrational fury that waiting another 30 minutes for food that no one really wants in the first place elicits.
I make the drive back up, show them how the receipt and the bag of goods do not match up, and anticipate my perfect order. They already goofed it once, the second time generally ends up being the exact piece of crap food you requested. I grab my bag, head out to the car, and am glad to be no longer wasting my time. Then to my unbridled horror, no ketchup.
NO KETCHUP. I swear when I went in there for the second time, those poor mexicans behind the grill gave me the deer in the headlights look. Instead of having them run my order through for the third time, I grabbed a fistful of ketchup, looked directly at the manager and said, "clearly you don't make burgers to order here at mickie dees, sorry for my misunderstanding." All of that pain, was almost worth the story....
