My friend and I like to meet weekly, on Saturdays, to chew the cud from politics to religion over coffee and omelets. This review is of our delightful visit to Nancy Mae’s Cafe. Nancy Mae’s Cafe, located in Rancho Cucamonga, is a charming spot that exudes a nostalgic '50s vibe with friendly service. A special shout-out to our waitress(s). Both ladies and the cook epitomizes top-notch customer service—fast, accurate, cheerful, delicious and welcoming, while making us feel instantly at home even though it was our first visit. Imagine going home to enjoy your mother's most comforting food while being reasonably priced with big hearty portions. That’s what you get at Nancy Mae’s. The servers are playful and fun, making the patron feel special, like you'll read from the other reviewers. The '50s decor and music create a nostalgic experience of yesteryear; I am a 60's child. Whether you’re craving eggs with bacon, fluffy pancakes, or a classic sandwich for lunch, Nancy Mae’s Cafe is the place to try out if you're in the area. My friend had a ham omelette; whereas, I went for the Backseat Breakfast Burrito with green salsa and (2) fried jalapeños. 🌯 We both commented that their coffee was above average, actually exceptional, for diner coffee, not bitter nor too weak. As you can see from a particular photo, we had many cups of coffee. 😀 Today, I brought my Fujifilm X100F camera to breakfast. Most of these pictures were taken from this camera, and others were taken with my iPhone 13 Pro. As you'll see in my bio, I love photography and enjoy photojournalism, street photography. I did not take too many photos, though.

I have known about Nancy‘s for quite some time because it is one of the famous diners that are dotted along former Route 66. There are many in the area and I would say that Nancy May’s is one of the better ones. We stopped in for our first time this past weekend and had a really nice experience. It was our server’s first day on the job and she was extremely sweet and did a great job and so did the kitchen. Everything that we ordered came out very fast and just as we requested. It’s in a small shopping center so there is plenty of free parking right in front. They don’t have any outdoor seating and inside is pretty small but in a cozy way. For our first visit, we wanted to start with some of their bakery items so we chose the Cinnamon Roll and the Coffee Cake. They were pretty good, but you could tell they were not homemade and were very cakey. The store bought pastries never seem to be as good as homemade to me. This was not my favorite part of the meal. For my breakfast, I chose the Country Fried Steak and thought it was fantastic. It was not overly cooked and the eggs were done perfectly, I was a big fan of the dish overall. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone searching for a great diner or to anyone looking for a casual breakfast or lunch option.

It's a cute little place to stop and eat breakfast, I would say it's something that would make me say wow I have to return. It is definitely better than IHOP. To me the food was pretty standard solid 3 to 3.5 stars but what did stand out was the service and the atmosphere of this place. I liked the way the locals were treated by the staff here, you know just right away when they walk in the door they can get into their banter and their order going like nothing. I thought it was hilarious, I wanna be like that when I get older lol. I wouldn't mind returning though to be honest.

So we went to this cafe on saturday. I ordered the French toast with strawberry and cream cheese. I took one bite and there was plastic yes plastic in the cream cheese part. It was disgusting. So then I sent it back they apologized and when they gave me a new one I took a bite and yet again there were small pieces of plastic and the filling inside the French toast was frozen. I couldn't believe it. I ordered something else completely whicj were the french toast sticks. It was better but not impressive. Turns out they order prepackaged food to serve to their cusyomers. I wish it were fresh and you can tell when eating it that its not. Tasted just like public school French toast. I am happy They didn't charge me for my meal as they shouldn't have but we will never go back. Would not reccomend to anyone regardless of the...
