West End Grill — Restaurant in Randolph

I have been to West end a couple of times now and i want to continue cause its such a nice location but everytime i end up leaving disappointed on the service and guest interactions and tonight was no different. went in With some friends at 9:45 ordered some drinks. the bartender was not social at all and at 10 they did last call we already still had full drinks so we were good for last call, However in that same moment the bartender walked around and turned off all the TV’s just my group of people and about 3/4 guys on the other side of the bar after last call the bartender completely ignored us while she was talking to someone else across the bar about seeing them “at a bar in a few minutes “ later it became clear that the people the bartender was talking to also worked here i’m assuming off the clock as they were drinking at about 10:30, about 30 min after last call the bartender started pouring more drinks for the 3/4 guys (employees) sitting at the bar they were all laughing socializing having blast drinking martinis and vodka sodas me and the people i was with finally said “let’s go “ and left full beers on the bar because we felt like we were interrupting the staffs social hour. as we were getting up one of the female bartenders said to the other bartender “pour urself a drink “ and the bartenders started to pour herself liquor into a glass cup clearly for her to drink. like i said i have been here a couple times now because i truly want to like it it’s local to me and seems like a friendly place to have some good food and a drink however i think the owners of this place truly need to evaluate what happens here “late night” cause the night staff and managers have no problem making their paying guests feel rushed out and uncomfortable so that they can all carry on their social conversations and drink while at work. just seems genuinely unprofessional and im disappointed truly. not sure ill be back after tonight we felt very u...

We are regulars at west end grill. Last night we went in for dinner started off great. Then we put in an order that we normally get a Buffalo chicken dip pizza. It’s not on their menu but since we are regulars we have become friendly with most of the waitresses so one of them gave us the idea. Mind you we have had this pizza about 5 times. Well the waitress that waited on us didn’t know how to ring it in so she spoke to the manager. So instead of the manager asking another waitress in the restaurant she just came right over to our table extremely rude. She started off with oh we don’t make that and you never had it here. Ummm excuse me your energy is so off. Then said to us oh the waitress must make that pizza herself. lol what are you talking about? The waitress wasn’t in the back making the pizza are you serious lady. Then asked my husband and I how to ring in the pizza. What?? This manager was unprofessional and her energy was so bad. It was a horrible experience. Eventually they called the waitress to ask her how to ring it in. The manager never came back to the table to apologize for her rudeness or to tell us that they figured out how to ring it in. We told the waitress that we were all set with pizza and we didn’t order it. We paid our bill and left. We were out on a date night without our kids and her tone and energy made the night awful. To the waitress with a full head of hair and big hair clip : We usually enjoy this restaurant but tonight we had a server that you would think she forgot she was working . She sat against the wall for at least 20 min talking to coworker before she came to check on us . Mind you , another sever provided our food when it came out but she never once came over to check if we needed anything, even after I asked to keep another menu to order another appetizer. She never even knew we sent our food back due to being wrong order, waited for another 25 min before our right order being returned to us . The busser and food runner were the most helpful and with a smile On their face helped us to return our food as she seemed to be pre occupied. I could understand if she was busy and overwhelmed but she literally just stood there, even when she wasn’t talking to anyone . The annoyance she showed as she asked if we wanted anything else was appalling. Being a server in the past I get it if someone comes off rude from the beginning you may not be as accommodating, but the minute we said hello we were met with a disgruntled employee .. very disappointed! But the hostess are always sweet and pleasant as well as the food runner and bussers! I always over tip and tonight it killed me to still tip even after this...
