I remember going to this theater when it first opened and it was such a great experience. I went tonite to see Wicked. I stood in line and while we were waiting we were excited about getting food from Nathan's. The people before us ordered and was told it would be a 50 minute wait for the kitchen. No problem we were there early and seeing an almost 3 hour movie so no problem. Next was our turn and the lady at the concession said the kitchen was closed because one person was working in the kitchen and they were overwhelmed. We drove an hour so that we could watch a movie and have food at the theater. I then spoke with the manager and he said we had over 5000 people today. Which should be expected on Thanksgiving weekend. So had to settle for stale popcorn and soda that just tasted like carbonation with no flavor. Both the manager and the girl at the concession were rude and unsympathetic. Thank God there was a Popeye's across the street where I was able to get food from before the movie started. The theater was extremely warm and we could barely hear the movie. What happened to surround sound. I'm watching a 3-d movie with no surround sound. After putting my stale popcorn down and because the sound was so low I started hearing squealing. At first I thought it was the movie, but then I realized it was mice in my food. I had to keep stomping the floor because the squeeling from the mice was so unsettling it was hard to pay attention to the movie. I loved this theater as a kid and thought it would be nostalgic to go back but I'll have to leave this theater in the past. Hard...
Read moreThe theater has large seats, stadium seating and lots of parking, but none of these good qualities are what highlights an experience there. About 90% of the time that I visit this theater, the lights will stay on throughout the movie, unless someone gets up, asks a custodian to shut them and then is lucky enough to have found a competent worker. Today, I had a similar experience, one that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I went to see "Let's Be Cops" and 10 minutes before the film started i specifically sought out the manager to ask that there be a vigilant effort to ensure that the lights will be off during the movie. After his acknowledgement, i proceeded to find a comfortable seat, watch previews, and then wait in hope. Ten minutes after the film had started, the lights were still on, so I went outside and asked one of the theater attendants to turn off the lights. Another 10 minutes passes with no change to the ceiling lights. At this point, I went to the customer service desk to demand a refund. The manager was quite apologetic and insisted that the lights are normally on an automated routine, yet I asked, "So, if that is the case why does this happen ninety percent of the time?" Which he the responded by upgrading my refund to a Lux level purchase. I suppose the summation of this wall of text is that despite the comforts a large theater like this is able to afford, the shear incompetence of the staff makes this venue an...

The Good: Came here to see Star Wars and went to Lux with a friend of mine. Great drinks, free popcorn, good Cap'n Crunch chicken tenders, awesome reclinable seats and excellent wait staff... Great experience so far.
The Bad: Then about 10-20 minutes into the movie I can see in my peripheral something running by the floors since there are blue lights that illuminate the stairs and I was sitting by them. I dismissed it. However it kept happening to the point that I stopped watching the movie and focused on the stairs and saw it was a mouse! ( or mice, can't be sure how many) This happened for the rest of the movie. I already lost my appetite at this point. Then towards the end of the movie I saw two mice slowly crawl up the wall that divides the chairs in front of me and I was completely grossed out since on the other side are people leaning back up to the wall!!
The Ugly: (I assume she is ugly by her tone lol) When I called the next day, the woman who answered was completely rude to me and implied that i was lying since I didn't bring it to someone's attention at 1:30 in the morning on a work night. She didn't want to connect me However the manager she connected me to was very understanding and he arranged some accommodations. Nice gesture, however I will not be going back to this place for a while. If the mice are that bold when the place is packed, I can only imagine what it looks like...
