We held a private party in Conclave Brewing's private room this weekend and could not have had a better experience. If I could leave 10 stars, I would, as everything was not only perfect, but exceeded our expectations. We reached out to about 5-7 different breweries and Liz at Conclave was always the most responsive and informative from the start. She continued to make setting up the party a breeze by answering all questions in detail - and with great answers as Conclave's policies for private parties are fair and reasonable for all. For example, for those who don't drink beer, we were allowed to bring wine that they served. Conclave provides a beertender for private parties and ours, Vickie, blew us away with her attentiveness and outstanding customer service. We expected her to pour and clear glasses, but she jumped in to every aspect of our party to help us host it and make it easy for us to just enjoy, from helping us set up the food table, to monitoring when dishes were running low and replenishing them from the additional food we had on hand, to helping to cut and serve our cake, and helping us clean up afterwards. Her beer suggestions were spot on, and she remembered small details about how we liked our beer, making it easy each time we reordered. She even found a beer for my mom, who has said she hates beer for over 60 decades! This just elevated the party so much over other places in which a private area is available, but where guests have to go to the main bar to order drinks. I would hire Vickie to help run any party anywhere! Mike and Olivia, who were working the public area, were also super friendly and helpful. And of course the beer! It was soooooo good! Go get some today and if you are looking for a great space for a private party, check them out. You won't be...
Read more5.5.2023 Update After being a customer here for several years I wanted to provide an update as the customer service and the quality of the beer seems to have slipped recently. I started noticing some employee turnover when I came here to meet a friend and did not recognize many faces working and things just were not the same. That statement unfortunately also reflects the beer as of late. The flavor is ok but the beer is flat or close to flat. Maybe this was just a off night I do not know. Will provide an update if things improve.
Over the past several years I have been here many times and it's always an enjoyable experience. Sometimes they have live music, sometimes there is a food truck and other times it's just people enjoying good beer. What's consistent every time is that the beer has been tasty, the staff has been friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. Considering this is an operating brewery the tasting room has a warm industrial feel with plenty of seating inside and out. The staff encourages brining outside food in to enjoy with their offerings and their selecting of beer types provides something for everyone. Of all of the local breweries in this area Conclave stands out as one of the better options for both their beer...
Read moreAVOID! We went here in the past inside with our dog. We walked in with him and were greeted by a kid that looked higher than a Cheshire cat. He was nice enough, took our order for beer flights, and could clearly see we had our dog with us. When we walked in, there were no signs indicating dogs were not allowed. We sat on the outside patio with our dog and there were maybe two other people on the patio. The owner sent out a member of his staff to tell us after 20 minutes and paying for our beers that we need to leave because dogs aren't allowed. The woman was nice enough, but the owner wasn't forthcoming enough to deliver the message himself. So, after paying for beers and snacks, without a sign saying our dog wasn't allowed inside or on the patio (all breweries in New Jersey allow dogs) we were forced to leave. This left a better taste in our mouth. And not from the high IBUs in the triple IPAs. Owner is disingenuous. We will never...
