Delizia Pizza Kitchen (Flemington) — Restaurant in Raritan Township

This was the first time coming here, we stopped by based on the reviews. We just happened to be in the area. We walked in, there were some customers sitting at the table eating there food. We walked towards the counter and a guy(im assuming this was the owner) gave us a menu for take out. So as we were deciding what to order....i happened to see the same guy that gave us the menu come from outside, open the door, use his cell phone, he goes straight behind the counter and starts handling pizza dough. I never seen him wash his hands, he didn't have on any gloves. He than put the pizza in the oven, afterwards he scratches the inside of his nose. I saw another employee touching food, then pick up the phone, and hand another employee a customers check then wipe his nose with his arm. This employee didnt wash his hands either! At this point i saw several employees pick/dig/wipe their nose I was so disgusted that i couldn't eat from this restaurant. Based on the reviews many people are eating from here but is anyone actually watching them make their food?! I've never seen anything as unsanitary as this. This was unbelievable. Terrible. Poor food, terrible service. Even worse, we found a piece of wood in our cheesesteak when I bit down on it. An actual piece of wood. Naturally I picked up the phone and called the pizzeria to let them know, thinking that they would be appreciative and apologetic. Not one bit, the girl who answered the phone was shocked and handed me off to a manager. This guy asked “what do you want us to do, it’s very busy” hmmm maybe offer a refund or deliver me another cheesesteak? After arguing back and forth he actually just put the phone down on the counter and walked away. I was appalled, I sat there for 10 minutes listening to random conversations before hanging up and calling back to get the original girl I spoke too. She took my name and offered to have someone else call me back. After waiting a couple days and I ended up calling back again, still no owner. Another manager tried to apologize and offered me a gift card. Never will I order from this place again, so no thanks. This place displayed shockingly terrible service and lack of care for...

If you want excellent, authentic Italian food, you HAVE to come here! I grew up here but moved away when I joined the Navy. Now Mom is almost 93 and I fly back from San Diego every other month to see her. Her favorite food is spaghetti. The elderly tend to start losing their sense of taste and eat less and lose too much weight.

The only spaghetti she will eat is my homemade or from here. So my this visit I busted her out of the nursing home and brought her in so the owner can see the sweet lady he’s been cooking all the to-go spaghetti dinners for.

The pizza is amazing. Perfect crust and sauce. The sausage and peppers are the best I ever had. Owner tells me he makes his own. All the sauce is made in house. Eggplant rotini, soups, omg, the tuna sub…also to die for.

Everything I have eaten here has been wonderful. Please come in and support a family owned business. You’ll thank me.
