When I first moved to Raymondville everyone always told me to go to Tuckers. This is a really good spot to bring your friends and family to grab a bite to eat. The decor is so rustic and charming. The food is amazing. I love the baked potato and Mac and Cheese. My daughter and husband get the hamburgers or BBQ. Today I tried the fish fry and it was amazing. The only thing I would change would be adding a kids menu, it is not very accommodating for my 8 year to be eating a cheeseburger the size of her own head even though it was comical. The staff have over time not been so welcoming which is a shame not what I expect from them but hopefully with the feedback that has been left this will improve, this has been something brought up on reviews on social media as well.
We will be returning, hopefully the staff will be better trained in customer service upon our next arrival so I can change this to 5 stars.
Came back with my husband and of course food is on point as usual. Guys look at this Baker. I will not be eating...
Read moreFood was good but service was trash, took couple my buddies new to town to try it out never again. I ordered my meal that came with 2 sides but they only put one side on my plate than came back with a BASKET of fries (I did not order a basket of fries) Waiter never came around to refill our drinks but during payout they demanded a tip that was added to the total. Advise them tip was on table we just wanted to pay the meal they didn't accept. My buddy paid for my meal and the old lady with grey hair said my plate wasn't paid for when she looked at me dead in the eye as I told her my order. Still she was denying with the receipt in her hand. She was still trying to charge me the basket of fries when the mistake was on the waiter not us she than replies "that's okay I'll charge him next time he comes" the most ignorant reply I have ever heard. Much rather make the drive out of town than eat...
Read moreLocally owned barbecue restaurant previously located in Lyford and has now moved to the area across Whataburger in Raymondville. The food in its category is the best in the RGV. There is a similar, larger sized restaurant in San Benito (Longhorn's); however, Tucker's definitely has better food. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The only warning is that because it is locally owned, it is only until 8:00 p.m. AND as they run out of meats in the afternoon, they will not make more. If you are wanting a particular meat, I recommend calling before making the trip. But I can tell you the trip is definitely worth the drive! I also just discovered that they will let you call ahead/early and make a reservation. They will make sure that they have meat/bbq to make your order if...
