Lutfi’s Raymore — Restaurant in Raymore

with my last $15 decided to order lunch with Lutfi's. I used the order online feature from Google. money was taken from my account but I immediately got a message saying "your order didn't go through, something went wrong". when I called to verify with the restaurant the lady that answered the phone said she was aware of the rejection and that my funds would be pending in my account. when I attempted to explain to her that this was my last $15 and since it's on hold I couldn't get lunch anywhere else she told me that it "wasn't on her" and refused to let me speak any further then hung up in my face. then when I call back I got a message basically saying that my number was blocked. I called to clear up the issue and once I verified the issue i wanted to put in a complaint and suggest that if the system that they're allowing their customers to use is placing the customer's money on hold but the customer is not actually getting their order, then maybe they shouldn't use that system anymore (reasonable suggestion). she had already explained that this wasn't the first time it had happened to a customer. I'm sick and tired of poor systems and poor customer service. if you're going to answer the phone at an establishment you agreed to work at, the customer comes first. copping an attitude and hanging up in the customer's face will guarantee that your business will not be patronized in the future. now I clearly understand why so many Lutfi's locations are frequently closed around the city when you have poor customer...

A friend of my husband highly recommended this place to go for catfish. Said it was "better" than "Fish City", so after much encouragement to give it a try, we finally did. And after getting it we both agreed that it was OK. Not bad, but DEFINITELY not great either, just meh. First, we were told we could not mix, modify, or substitute anything in the order which was okay, so we ordered the 16 piece catfish. After getting the fish home, opened it to find out 16 pieces were actually four fillets shredded down to 16 pieces. One piece was so small it literally had no meat in it. It was small as a large French fry. As a matter of fact, all of the pieces looked like slim potato wedges about 2 petite fingers in width. Secondly, I specifically asked for "CATFISH", and because all I ever oder from Fish City is "BASA", I IMMEDIATELY KNEW THIS WAS NOT CATFISH BUT INSTEAD BASA! Lastly, the fish was not fried long enough, so it was a bit gummy. It's too bad when trying to support small businesses, they are overpriced, uncompromising, and untruthful about what they are selling. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE BASA, but my husband doesn't. He specifically wanted catfish and we were "Catfished" and got BASA instead. It was not worth $38.00 AT ALL. Hopefully they will read this...

Didn’t have the kids tonight, so I decided to stop by and get a frozen peach & dragonfruit margarita with some blackened shrimp and greens n hush puppies…. & honey, Lufti’s in Raymore DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!! This was actually my second time visiting their clean , inviting and welcoming establishment when I was craving a made to order Fire seafood dinner…the hush puppies were delicious. The greens were tender with some tasty pot liquor and this blackened shrimp is WHY I COME BACK… tidied up with a Gorgeous bright piece of lemon sunshine cake.
