Oriental Garden — Restaurant in Raymore

I am completely dissatisfied. I ordered online (spend $45 get free crab Rangoon) so I made sure I spent the $45. My total ended up being $60. I never received my crab Rangoon. I don’t ever order out, It was a complete waste of my time even ordering from them. The food quality was not good. The chicken was great. Everything else, was not good. Whatsoever. If I was just complaining to complain, I would just trash all of it. I am angry that they could do absolutely nothing but give them to me the next time I ordered?!?!? I would not have had a $60 bill for two freaking people had I known they were going to leave out the entire reason I ordered there to begin with. Completely unsatisfied with this experience, I will most likely never return here to eat. Ever again. The lady (MANAGER) then said “you aren’t supposed to order drinks and still get the deal”

THE DEAL STATES, you SPEND $45 before taxes and you can get free crab Rangoon. If the deal didn’t apply, it wouldn’t have let me redeeem. Even if I came in there spending $45 on ONLY DRINKS. I still qualify for the order of crab Rangoon. This is why I don’t go out for dinner, but we wanted to have a date night in the house. We are having car issues and could not commute anywhere. They should have put another order out for them to be delivered. It was their mistake...

Was told my pickup time was 6:16pm then I got a message saying it was 6:12pm. I got into the restaurant at 6:08 pm. Was told my food would be just a couple of minutes so I sat and waited until 6:33pm and finally she called my name. The worst part was that my bag was sitting on the counter the entire 25 minutes right behind her on the the right side. There was multiple times when she was just standing there doing nothing, I was sitting right across from her in the booth, and she finally grabbed the bag that I had saw no one touch the whole 25 minutes I was in there. She tried to say "we were busy" when I was sitting there the WHOLE TIME, so don't lie straight to my face. Of course when I bring the food back home for my family it is cold because it was just sitting there but I had to get to work at 7pm so I couldn't go back up there. So not only did she lie, not only was the food cold, she also wasted 25 minutes of my time for nothing but be too lazy to just check the bags. Been going to oriental garden since the 1997, we love this place and never had anything like this before. But to lie to me face like that when I was sitting there the whole time is way to much. What a waste of money...

This is a great restaurant! My mom and I were looking for places to eat and we found this place online. I looked at the reviews because I always look at reviews, and I audibly laughed at the 1 star reviews. I read them out loud for my mom and we were laughing in the car together, because they were absurd. We then decided to go to this restaurant to see how it was, and we were not disappointed at all. Some of the bad reviews were complaining about the food and service. First of all, the food was great! We really enjoyed the food. Second of all, yes, you can either choose to dine in or have takeout, but if you dine in you eat out of takeout boxes. Eating out of that isn’t even bad, but the lady who gave us our food asked us if we wanted plates, so you literally don’t have to eat out of takeout boxes if you don’t want to. Also there definitely was service! The lady also checked in on us and asked if we needed anything or if we needed refills just like a regular restaurant.
