Starbucks — Restaurant in Reading

From the manager Archie down to the wonderful baristas and others preparing drinks and food, this is my favorite Starbucks in the area. They are often slammed by online orders and I feel for them because customers unfairly assume an online order will be ready no matter how soon they arrive to pick it up after ordering. My mother always said, you can’t get blood from a rock. There is limited bandwidth because as Archie has informed me, 90% of their business is mobile orders and they can’t hire enough people to deal with those bottlenecks at busy times. There aren’t enough working aged people who want to work at Starbucks who actually live in Reading. Reading is an affluent community and most high school aged kids of working age don’t need to work and so it’s often out-of-towners who fill these roles at Starbucks. So they often have to close early because they just don’t have enough workers to keep the store going. As an aside and take this with a grain of salt, but we must try to remember to be grateful in general for the gifts one has received in life be they personal, professional, financial and always try to remember to be kind and compassionate to people. Rewind your life if you must to a past life where things weren’t so fortunate for you and maybe you were the one struggling to make ends meet. Perhaps that was never the case for you and God bless, your parents did something right or maybe they didn’t..haha, some people earn lots of money the wrong way. Not to get political, but there are some amongst us who were not only born with a silver spoon in their mouths but then took that silver spoon and made it gold off the backs of good people who were cheated and lied to. I won’t name names, but they love gold, have a golden toilet and likely worship a golden cow! I mean the guy did hawk steaks at one point. Question for those of you who defend his business acumen: how many bankruptcies has he had? How many failed businesses? You want that guy running the business of our country??? You know we can’t just declare bankruptcy and pull a get out jail free card right? But I digress as so often is this case!!! My point is that this Starbucks rocks!! Worst Starbucks I've been to lately. My godmother randomly picked me up to go somewhere at this starbucks. She accidently backed into a much older silver Corolla and left a car mild small dent in the back bumper. She's over 70 years old and t was so mild after looking at it I said we should just leave to avoid her getting a mark on her driving record. To be clear this car was not well kept and even has been missing it's has cover for a while so it didn't seem like a big deal. I came back a week later and was verbally abused and yelled at by the apparent employees car. I requested her to be civil very politely and reasonably. I offered to solve this issue in return. Apparently I was expected to kneel down and apologize however. I off course declined further assistance and when she kept harrassing me I told her to get screwed. The store manager was apparenyou standing next to her the whole time. I filed a complaint to Starbucks corporate and never heard from the store manager as one would think. I called and asked for her and was told when we spoke that "All I had to do was apologize." She said she wasn't thst rude or "not abusive." Off course these people would never expect yelling and extreme towads them. I pretry much acted diplomatic anf didn't argue with the store manager as she obviously didn't have any sincere ethics. I asked if I was I was still allowed in and she said yes but if the police told me not to come back not to which I verified. I didnt contact the police to verify I wasn't in any potential legal trouble as I've had false accusations made befire by others. I came back 3-6 months later today and acted polite. I never said anything at all and onky made eye contact with tge staff very briefly as I walked in. The women again flipped put at me, told me I wasn't welcome as," The Police banned me from Starbucks." I replied that it wasnt true and she said she didnt cate or the police would be called. I left and spoke to the police and they very verified she was making false claims. I'm never coming back as long people of this level of ability run the place as it's not acceptable and they are down right crazy. I hope Starbucks on Main Street in Reading finds...

I hate to say it... this is probably the worst star bucks I've been to! and let me tell you I have spent thousands of dollars at star bucks not including gift cards, coffee twice a day Monday through Friday. How would you feel if you ordered a coffee with no flavor and it has a flavor but you don't even know what it is? Either their intercom in broken or they hear things..... some employees are friendly others not so much and they have never gotten my coffee right!!! And if so my white cup was covered in coffee stains and they ran out of the splash stick or sleeve cups. I've been to north reading, east Weymouth, Chelsea, boylston st, Tremont st mass Ave Medford and I gotta say north reading main st is the worst they are not training the employees to make the coffee right... and I've had burnt coffee before and I live to far to drive back and complain and have to deal with attitude absolute...
