I was super excited to eat here because of the reviews and I don't think I have ever left a restaurant a bad review in my life and I have only had a handful of terrible meals from restaurants in my entire life but this was the worst I have ever had and it couldn't be even be finished and had to be thrown in the garbage. I should've known better by the fact no one else was there eating or ordering food but me at 4pm on a Saturday. This is the first meal I've ever eaten where I sat there wishing and hoping I don't get food poisoning. Absolutely disgraceful. I ordered the crispy rolls which I assumed were spring rolls BY THE PHOTOS they have posted but it's almost like they used egg roll wrappers with the amount of spring roll filling, so you got 6 layers of wrap and almost no filling. I don't eat eggs so I order spring rolls FOR A REASON. They're serving people egg roll wrappers and calling it a spring roll. Absolutely ridiculous. They were AWFUL. Frozen spring rolls are better. They were super stale and chewy and had no flavor. They have different wraps in the photos than they actually use. No one wants to order crispy spring rolls and get a big thick egg roll wrapper wrapped 6 times around with almost no filling. Beyond cheap to do that. For $9 for 4 rolls????? There was even a big piece of foil inside my tiny container of dipping sauce from the sauce bottle. How did no one notice that???? The drunken noodle tasted absolutely DISGUSTING and was dark brown. Had no flavor besides burnt beef. Barely any vegetables in it either. No basil leaves or bamboo like champa. I don't eat meat which is why I got the tofu and every bite of this had one flavor which was burnt beef char scraped off the grill. It almost made me throw up. Get it together for people who clearly do not want meat in their food. MANY vegetarians and vegans eat at Asian restaurants. It was so so bad and a small portion for the price. I'll stick with champa garden, rose Garden, and bonsai sushi, I've never had a bad meal there. This was absolutely awful and I'm sad I wasted $23 on this disgusting food. The guy at the counter was extremely friendly so this review doesn't reflect him or the customer service because he was great.
If a restaurant looks like a tiny run down disgusting DUMP and charges regular restaurant prices then the food better be GREAT! If I hadn't missed the review with someone finding a BANDAID in their food, I never would've came here in the first place....
Read moreWent here the other night with a couple friends. The food was ok, the actual owner who we met briefly on our way out the door is very sweet and nice. However the waitress, I think her name was Meg, was pretty rude. Four of us walked in a she started complaining that we didn't give them a heads up we were coming (the restaurant was empty) After seating we found out two more friends would be joining us so we changed our seating pattern around the table so my friends could sit next to their spouse. She wouldn't let that go all evening and continually commented and complained that we were switching spots confusing her throughout the whole meal.
We were asked how we wanted to divide the bill before ordering and she said she didn't want to divide the bill the whole way, but would pick and choose some of us on one ticket vs the other. She also didn't put in the orders back to back but served and delivered the food one dish at a time 5 minutes apart. So multiplied by 6 people was a weird experience.
When ordering we were sort of chastised for every choice we picked, she would make comments saying we should try something else or that it wasn't an adventurous choice. One of us asked for white rice, but the waitress insisted that we order fried rice to which we said no and she argued with us on it. Even after insisting on white rice she wrote and ordered us fried rice anyway. When we ordered spicy food she started making inappropriate suicide jokes. The waitress would randomly come by and comment on our personal conversations at the table from time to time. We were reminded several times at least half an hour before closing time that we shouldn't stay late. All in all super weird and awkward...
Read moreQuick Review: Wonderful Yellow Curry. Amazingly seasoned "Crying Tiger".
Longer Review: Front of house: Nick was kind, and aware. He is a grateful individual. A positive team player.
Owner/Chef: Ammara... She works diligently and is inspiring. Since I moved from the SF Bay I haven't had curry that brought memories of home. Her spices and flavors brought joy! Exactly what I desired and on point!!!
Yellow Curry Chicken was all white meat and tender. Potatoes were perfection and carrots and onions were cooked while maintaining a nicely fresh bite. Curry with coconut milk was seasoned exactly as I hoped and made my taste buds sing.
I am so thankful for visiting here and will definitely go...
