Stumbled upon this cute coffee shop in Red Lion after searching for ācoffee near meā after a doctorās appointment, and I am not ashamed to say that I have frequented the place four days straight ever since.
Iāve gone between the hours of 10am-12pm and never had an issue getting street parking right out front. There is a small parking lot in the back, but it is often full.
The staff is the friendliest staff Iāve encountered in quite some time! The girls are the sweetest and clearly love what they do!
Iāve been getting a sugar free vanilla iced latte with an everything bagel sandwich with sausage, and the quality has been consistent every time. Their lattes are unmatched by others in the area, even those from big chains like Dublin and Starbucks.
On weekdays, you can find people in the seating area working from laptops, or friends catching up on weekends. Plenty of seating insides and a very cute patio outside for when temperatures are mild.
I have a feeling that Phat Cat will become my new āstomping groundsā (lol, get the coffee joke?). Looking forward to taking advantage of their joint patio area once the...
Read moreI found this café through a Google search for breakfast. The photos made it look chic and modern, so I decided to give it a try. I was hungry and ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel, a blueberry muffin, and a chai latte.
Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The menu was written in chalk on a dimly lit wall, making it hard to read. When I asked for the muffin first (since it was in the display case), I immediately noticed it smelled oldāand sadly, it tasted that way too. The chai latte was extremely hot but surprisingly watery and lacking in flavor. Finally, my bagel sandwich arrived, but it missed the mark as well. The egg had no seasoning, the cheese was cheddar (not my preference), and the bacon was disappointingly thin.
I really wanted to love this place, especially since there arenāt many spots like it in the area. But leaving with such a lackluster experience was a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all, there are no cats. However, it is nicely decorated with a cat theme. As a coffee shop, it could probably use comfier chairs, but overall it was a pleasant environment to sit and chat with a friend for a while. There is a nice view of part of Franklin Square. The coffee was very good, without too much wait and the staff was pleasant. They weren't very busy, and their set up didn't seem able to quickly handle a line of people ordering fancy coffee drinks, but perhaps they have additional staff during busy times. Also, little thing--Starbucks will put your sweetener in for you before they add the drink. This means you don't have to stir up your fresh latte and destroy the foam. That's a nice touch that I haven't found in other coffee shops and Phat Cat is not the exception. Overall, I loved the shop and would definitely go...
