I would like to start this by stating free and clear that a majority of the blame for my Bogart's experience falls on me. I hold my hands up. Ordering tacos from a place called Bogart's is already not a winning plan, so I should have known better going in. Maybe tamped down the expectations somewhat, if you will. I also should have kept my cell phone very close to me (while at work) so that I could catch the text message that told me that my food was ready 12 minutes earlier (12:40) than the time I was given (12:52) when I placed my online order...

But, yeah. Those were the worst tacos I've ever eaten in my life; and I grew up eating public school hot lunch in Helena in the late 80s and early 90s. Sogginess from sitting on the counter for 12 additional minutes aside (thermodynamic equilbrium was achieved), there was hardly any shredded beef in those generic tortillas they bought from US Foods and the lettuce/cheese situation was just as sparse and sad. I actually would have preferred school lunch tacos to these for three reasons: the school tacos would have at least been above room temperature (and served at the time that the kitchen set...), they would have had a good amount of whatever-the-hell that "meat" was, and they wouldn't have cost me 13 dollars.

As I said, I take the blame for ordering tacos from a place called Bogart's (La Palmitas was closed, as it was a Monday...) and for not keeping my phone on me so that I could be informed that my food was ready nearly 15 minutes earlier than the time I was given when I placed my onlline order. Mistakes were made on my part. They won't...

I ate here at the end of July 2013. It was the second worst restaurant experience I have ever had.

I'm 90% sure that our waitress was wearing men's boxer briefs as pants. Whatever they were, they were far too short for a waitress in a restaurant to be wearing.

We ordered tacos and enchiladas, nothing which should take too long to make, however, we waited at least 40 minutes to get our food. While we were waiting for our food, we could see staff in the kitchen eating and messing around. I suspect they forgot our order as people who came in after us got their food first.

When we finally did get our food, it was like something we could have made at home. The Spanish rice tasted like it was a box of off brand Rice-a-Roni. My tacos had just the fish, some chopped lettuce, a few pieces of tomatoes and a few slices of olives on them. No sauce, no seasoning. My wife's enchiladas were much the same (though she at least did get sauce).

My wife part of the 30% of people to whom cilantro tastes like soap. When she ordered, the waitress asked what kind of sauce she would like and she made sure to ask for one with no cilantro. While she did indeed get a sauce without cilantro, the lettuce and black beans her enchiladas came with both had cilantro. You would think the waitress might have mentioned this when my wife was so specific about not wanting cilantro.

For what we got, we literally could have gone down the street to the grocery store and made better Mexican food in...

Really bad experience today, extremely stale and bland chips asked for salt and had to ask another time after waiting 10-15 min, they didn’t have fried ice cream or shredded beef burritos so my husband got a beef quesadilla for $16 and he didn’t finish it or take it home, extremely cheap tasting rice and no flavor to either the beans or the “taco” meat itself, he asked for some enchilada sauce because it was so dry and bland, the enchilada sauce ... was taco seasoning flavored juice not even thick or creamy was a huge disappointment to the added lack of flavor, we also got the mango smoothie, I defined do not recommend that especially if your not one to like straight up Greek yogurt bland tart with mango something mixed in it it was absolutely gross no sugar or sweetness or even like a hint of savory, we did not take that home either. We both got sodas, Pepsi and Mountain Dew, Mountain Dew was okay, the Pepsi was bad it was extra syrupy and barely any carbonation. I really do not recommend this place, we tried multiple items and each on was a huge disappointment and it’s saying something especially since I have written like 5 reviews in my lifetime and some are good. This -100 Gordon would...

Pretty awesome experience overall! It started with the hostess giving me a weird look like I was crazy when I asked if we could sit in a booth. I imagine because the were five if us (2 adults 3 small children) and their regular booths seemed rather small. Ultimately, she ended up seating us at a quite large booth which worked out well as it was early in the day and not busy. To be honest, after that my expectations were rather low. With that said, our server more than made up for it with her super friendly personality and extremely helpful service! As for the food, the coconut margarita was yummy, albeit a bit light on the alcohol. The taco fries were amazing and probably our favorite item. The fried pickles chips with whatever the dip that comes with it were soooo good! Finally our pizza, named "The Ruby" was excellent. 8/10 would totally taco fry and pickle chip here again!

This place has really neat decor/ atmosphere. Was excited to eat here since it's our first time to red lodge. I understand times are tough and I fully appreciate the ones working in the staff shortages, but our burgers were so burnt that I had to say something (I hate doing this!) After cutting it in half, there were black chunks flaking off.. The waitress was apologetic and agreed it was burnt. She comped the burger. Asked if I wanted a new one but it had already taken almost 45min to get that so it was fine. I left unsatisfied, still tipped well, and just hope this can get better. After reading other reviews it seems to be a common occurrence. Good luck to you guys, it really is a cool place.

Visiting Red Lodge everyone spoke highly of Bogart’s. Atmosphere and service was great. Ordered some margaritas to start out with and surprisingly had no flavor or taste of alcohol for the price you pay. We tried one on the rocks and one frozen. The one on the rocks had the better flavor than the frozen one. That’s why I give the 4/5 star. The food on the other hand made up for the drinks being less than satisfactory. We had a border dip as an appetizer. Our entrees were chicken fajitas, sour cream enchiladas, and chicken chimichanga. Definitely hit the spot with those choices! The service was great and would definitely return.
