Beautiful building and friendly server, but the food has consistently disappointed. During my recent visit, I ordered over-easy eggs, but the whites were completely uncooked—just running all over the plate. I couldn't eat them.
For reference, here’s how to cook over-easy eggs properly: First, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil. Once hot, crack the eggs into the pan and let them cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. Then, gently flip the eggs using a spatula and cook for another minute until the whites are fully cooked, but the yolk remains runny.
Our server didn’t check on us after the initial bites, and when she finally returned, we were already pressed for time. Her suggestion to order them “more over medium” made me laugh; I specifically wanted a runny yolk with properly cooked whites. I hope the owners take note of this. It’s essential to train the kitchen staff on how to prepare...
Read moreMy wife and I came to red lodge for dinner, and the place we planned on eating was packed. Walking back to the truck we noticed Marli's, and thought we would try it. I've never been happier to make a last minute dinner change. The music was nice and fit the atmosphere. The waiter was pleasant and had good knowledge of the food and drinks. The menu had a nice range of food and the wine list wasn't bad. My wife had wygu meatloaf, and I had wygu stroganoff ravioli. Both were awesome! We had cheesecake for dessert. We will be coming back, and this may become my favorite restaurant in the area. This is a nice place, so dress up a bit and enjoy a night out with the misses. As a side note, my back is awful, and I wanted to steal our seats! So comfortable that my wife and I had a...
Read moreFood was alright, but service from Rossilynn was absolutely lacking, she asked me for a drink, I said a soda, then she ran off to do other things till I reminded her about my soda.
Then, from there on out she was very quiet, dropped off my food without saying a word. Felt very cold and judging! Same with her dropping off my ticket. (which yet again i had to ask her to do that as I was in a rush to get ready for the renaissance festival and I had at that point finished my food like 5 minutes before)
Only thing I liked about this place was the atmosphere, loved all the old photos of red lodge on the walls. Best in red lodge for breakfast joints in that regard... but to be fair there isn't all that many breakfast...
