1 out of 5 Stars. At best...
Taste - I give it ONE star ONLY because the fillet is real and it is good (if you like salty /crunchy). Fries are trash....(more on that later) Speed(less) - Wait time is absolutely ridiculous. The we make it fresh routine only goes so far. 40 mins to an hour for any size order aint cool. You need a better process to speed up your production. Prep is king. Inconvenience - Ordering is painful. I have said never-again am i ordering on more than one occasion (but somehow gave many chances) when i think of yall spot because its a hassle. You don't answer the phone half the time...you sometimes want money over the phone and sometimes you dont....you need an online ordering system. Accessibility - Parking is a hassle...it would serve you all well to adopt a pull up and order model. Make the front 3 parking spots curbside like Pappadeaux does so people can get their food and get out. Nobody wants to parking lot pimp in Red Oak bro. (Dis)Service - Your customer service is trash. Not the workers. The owner....know your audience man. We all worked hard to be where we are. You ain't the only one trying not to be located in the hood....so change your attitude. Respect your clients....customer is always right. Period. If I say you gave me old cold fries...they old and cold. I don't care if you been working all day....they cold then they cold. They old then they old. What I gotta lie for? For $40 worth of fish and fries I could fry as good as you but didn't feel like it? You gotta do better. Elevate brother....treat your business with the respect it deserves. Your reputation is monumental in the food service industry. If you continue this way someone is coming and they don't have to taste as good. Just have good service.
So 1 out of 5 is all I got...cause that's all you got.
And you're welcome for the free advice...one business owner...

I highly recommend giving Best Thing Flopping Fresh Fried Catfish a try—you might be pleasantly surprised. I’ve been a regular customer every Thursday or Friday since they opened in Red Oak, and I’ve never been disappointed by the food or the prices.
The portions are generous, and the pricing is more than fair for the amount and quality of food you receive. I believe this spot speaks for itself once you taste the food.
If you’re short on time, I suggest calling in your order and have your credit card ready for payment. As a newly established business, they’re experiencing well-deserved demand, which sometimes means longer wait times. I encourage everyone to show patience as the owner continues working to build a reliable team.
The food’s quality and quantity are both top-tier. Once they’re able to match that with greater speed and efficiency, this place will be truly...
Read moreUpdate: I know just as many places that closed after word of bad customer service got out as did because of bad food. How you gone argue with a paying customer, a pre-paid customer? How many don't know that I want 6 pieces "and" 2 tails means the same as (6 plus 2, an additional 2 to the 6, to the 6 add 2) not 6? Raise your hand. A simple "I apologize I misunderstood" and move on. You already answer questions with a chip, but this was uncalled for, unprofessional and unacceptable. . The fish is good, reasonably priced and whether filet, catfish steaks or strips pieces are good sized, you won't be disappointed. I found them when they started out in a food truck in Dallas although new space is kind of small, glad to hear they are out this way. The fries are a mixed bag sometimes old hard, reheated are mixed in with the fresh and as others have said please make your own...
