I just stayed here last weekend , 05/02/2020. I checked in at night witch it was already late just wanted to get into a room. He said the room was $75 a night, which would be $157.00 for two nights is what the guy told me. The next day I saw a transaction for $180.75. Why is there extra money being taken off my card then the amount was supposed to be taken off. When I checked out later that day my card was debited for an extra $86.00. This is when I call comfort inn and see why my card keep getting charged for different amounts. This makes me feel like my card information is not safe. I spoke with the lady on the phone who was there in the morning time I left that day ,a lady with blond hair. She was very rude with me and talking to me like I'm a child. Excuse you, first respect me. I have spent about $700 with this one in red oak in the last month and a half. She told me I smoked in the room so they charged $70. That is not what my statement said, it said charged $86. I informed her of all these transactions with extra money taken off. Then I informed her I had an E cigarette. I guess that was part of the guidelines that I did not realize. Since I have stayed here so many times and spent so much money. I didn't expect so much disrespect and could have been given a warning, seeing how much I come there. This was the first time this has happened. This morning I received notifications that comfort inn was still messing with my debit card. Now they put the correct amounts on my card... Someone is stealing personal card information and trying to get over on people. This is sad I do not recommend because they are still able to take off my card I have not been up there in a whole day. If this continues, I will take legal action. Also I was going to write a review about my last visit. I came down for breakfast at 5:30am when breakfast is supposed to start. I never came down for breakfast before but I was like I would give it a try. I am starving early in the am. As I'm walking down, I hear the the woman saying dang someone already coming down for breakfast. I ignored the comment and looked at the menu because she disappeared behind the front desk. Then she slowly got to me as I was the only one there. I ordered biscuits, sausage and gravy and a bowl of frosted flakes. She went back and got a cup of milk, which had no container on it. I went to the room my gravy was so cold I had to heat it in the microwave for 3 minutes. She just put it on a plate and knew it wasn't hot . Didn't even care if I would have for sick or anything. Who knows how long they had the gravy, how long it has been sitting out. No one knows the process. I still gave this comfort inn another stay. I bet if inspection people was there it would have been supper hot. Serving ice cold food really, you really saying you do not give a damn. I would not recommend this comfort inn and...
Read moreI'm going to be blunt. The place is 20 years overdue for an update, and 5-10 overdue for a complete overhaul. In order, I'll list the negatives and positive: ||TL;DR: Do not stay here. It's gross AsF. 4/6 of the staff I dealt with were either clueless or extremely rude. There's plenty of alternatives in the area. Trash. Dated decor. Stained shower curtains and bedding. Worst hotel breakfast I've had, may as well not offer it.||Positive: |-I've stayed longer, in worse places.|-Front door doesn't work, it either does open or opens halfway and may or may not close on you depending on the phase of the moon and your astrological sign... Basically it's broken, and they tried to blame it on me, threatening to call my employer who had put me up here, because I manually opened it to get outside one day. I called b*t, and had 4 witnesses to back me up, otherwise they may have gotten away with it.|-There's about 15 places to eat and/or shop for food within half a mile, so walking distance.|-Coffee was surprisingly good and almost always ready in the lobby|-Elevators|-Has a pool|Negatives:|-Pool is closed|-They run out of coffee creamer constantly|-Hallways are dirty and occasionally have garbage about.|-Breakfast was SORELY LACKING. I've stayed at a dozen different Comfort Inns over the years, in large part because they tend to have excellent breakfast, and this one sucked. Hard. Rubbery sausage, clearly fake eggs, dry biscuits, no gravy (the ONLY comfort inn I've been to that didn't have gravy, ever), stale bagels and bread. Although, good coffee.|-Breakfast area is tiny and undersized for the size of the hotel.|-Most of their hotel staff are gruff, grumpy, disheveled, and HIGHLY unprofessional.|-Rooms had garbage in corners, stained shower curtains, chipped and busted toilet seats, dameged light fixtures, stained sheets, mold and/or mineral build up in showers, showers are also gross looking and I wore flip flops every time I showered as a result. |-Housekeeping runs incredibly late and rooms aren't done until as late as 6 or 7 in the afternoon.|-Half of the parking lot lights don't work, it's dark and sketchy out there at night.|-My headboard on the bed, was literally STICKY, I repeat, my headboard was *sticky. Ew... Gross... Reported it twice to the staff and it never got addressed. In two weeks...||Summary: Don't stay here. They're a horrible establishment, and others I know had to switch rooms multiple times to get a decent enough one. Stay somewhere else, there are plenty of other options in the DFW region, and even close to Red Oak. For the record, I stayed here for 2 weeks, they had plenty of opportunities to improve, and...
Read moreI experienced horrific conditions during my stay at Comfort Inn in Red Oak, Texas. The hotel management has not yet address any of the following concerns, nor offered a refund. I have also contacted Choice Hotels (corporate) and they offered me no resolution.
Unsanitary Conditions: -Vomit, blood, and other human bio in the living room areas and around the beds. -Stench of smoke in non-smoking rooms. -Strong odor of animals. -Ants on the window sill.
Safety/ADA-accessibility. -Non-ADA accessible accomodations. There are three floors and the elevator only reaches the second floor. -No fire extinguisher on the third floor in case of emergencies. -Phones located in both rooms were inoperable. We could not phone outside resources or in-house services in cases of emergencies or to communicate issues with the rooms. -Exposed wires in the lobby and third floor.
Lack of hospitality: -Staff was unfriendly and unresponsive to our needs. Upon contacting Choice Hotels, I was notified that the staff made no formal notes or comments regarding our concerns although we attempted to resolve the issues each day of our stay, and now after check-out. -Deactivation of our room keys on the second day although we reserved for two nights. -Overall, stay was not true to advertising. Rooms, the lobby, and other amenities look much different than what was presented online. There was also no mention of construction at...
