I joined Hotworx at the end of July. I love the facility, the convenience of the hours of virtual classes and the location is close to my house. I utilize the saunas for health, stress and wellness. When I signed up a young man assisted me and has been there the majority of the time when I come for classes. Yesterday I scheduled a hot yoga class for 7:30 PM, went into sauna #2 to set up my towel and mat. I left to go to the ladies room and when I returned the Laura was there at sauna #2 with two young people a male and female that appeared to be trying out the facilities for a session. Laura ask me, is this your stuff? I told her yes she said I don't have you down for this class, I told her yes showed her my phone as I had started my session on the app and AGAIN she looked at me stated I DON'T have you down for this class. I followed her to the front computer as she proceeds to read off the names she had in sauna #2, one of which was mine. At that point she started be very apologizetic. I attempted to complete my yoga class but was so upset I could not focus or hold my usual poses. I left without completing my session. Laura was speaking with someone at the front desk, she says have a good day as I'm walking out. I called back later after I calmed down talk to Laura who tells me she is the owner of that location and it's been a crazy day. I don't appreciate spending my money on a membership and being interrogated and humiliated in front of people when I've been coming to this facility for almost a month. I know how to work the app, know how to read and don't see why my word was not good enough for Laura. Laura immediately stated she would like to credit me for a month, that is NOT what I am looking for. I obviously don't have a problem with the monthly fees or I wouldn't have signed up in the beginning. I shouldn't have had to show her my app on the phone or follow her to the front desk. Why again was my word not good enough, she stated there's another member named Brandi, well obviously there can be two members with the same name. Laura didn't even ask me my name prior to telling me she didn't have me down for that class. She stated again it had been a crazy day, that is not my problem and is not an excuse for poor customer service. I haven't experienced anything like that before, but won't continue spend my money at the Hotworx Red Oak location to be...
Read moreI was working out at a different Hotworx facility and absolutely loved it. So of course when the Red Oak location opened and it was closer to my house, I decided to switch over. I didn't think I could like it anymore than I did, but the staff make this facility even that much better! They are always welcoming when you come in the door. The owner Laura is on site pretty regularly and you can tell she really has a passion for what she does. I overheard her one day speaking to another customer who was sharing some health concerns about how hard it's been for her to get back into working out. Laura told her she was very proud of her! It really touched me because most people wouldn't even take the time to care about your personal life. The facility is always clean. They have cleaner bottles everywhere and they use non toxic cleaner, which is a huge deal if you're trying to live a more natural lifestyle. I'm so glad to see they care about your health in more ways than one. The ease of scheduling through an app and being able to workout 24 hours a day is what initially drew me to this gym. My schedule is busy and I never know when I will have free time, so being able to schedule last minute helps me stay consistent. Honestly this is the longest I've ever stayed committed to a gym and I don't see that changing. I've had more compliments about how great I look and people can definitely see a change overall. That sure will keep a girl motivated! đ The benefits of the infared saunas have been great. I sweat more than I ever have working out, so I really feel like I'm getting more out of my workouts. I notice my skin is better, I feel less bloated, and overall my mental clarity has improved. I really notice my mood and mental state are not as good when I miss a week or two of working out. All the virtual instructors are awesome and I love how the videos rotate every so often. I feel that's important when working out so you don't become stagnant. I think it's exactly what Red Oak needed as we did not have anything like this out here. I love the concept of the gym, the facility is nice and new, and the staff is wonderful....
Read moreI didnât like it! with my busy schedule, I need to be able to go work out at the drop of a dime, but there were too many times that the time slot I needed wasnât available, and if you need live assistance, that wasnât always available either! so I called on April 4th to cancel my membership, the employee I talked to never told me i had to go in person too cancel, so i thought it was a done deal! fast forward October 4th, I discovered they have still been taking 64 dollars a month from my account, oh and by the way, the app they set you up with in order to book appointments was not working, so everything appeared to be cancelled. I talked to Lauren, the rudest owner I have ever encountered, tells me my membership is not cancelled, and thatâs it! No refund, no nothing was offered to me! This is not good business Lauren! your employee should have told me I needed to come in person. Are we done with? No weâre not, we just got...
