Boba Tea & Coffee Cafe — Restaurant in Redding

I called this place to see what drinks they had and then I asked them if they had a specific drink (drink + size) then they told me a price GREAT! I was on my way and I was exited, unfortunately my all time go to boba place is no longer in Redding 🙄 and I have never tried this place. When I got there and ordered my drinks I noticed the price was 3x more than what they told me when I called. Before I paid I told them the price they told me on the phone and they said they charge by the scoop and the cup. I asked why they didn’t mention that over the phone but she had no answer and continued to tell me my price. After I paid and sat down to wait for my drinks I could hear her and another employee talking about us. And then when we walked out they loudly laughed. I think the way they handled this situation was very unprofessional and childish. If you tell someone something is one price it should stay that price, it is unfair that I came prepared to pay for what they said and then it was more. I will not be...

Aw man! So disappointed. I do like the drinks. Sometimes the drink itself feels warm until the ice cools it though, which makes the boba all soft feeling. But whatever, I can get over that and just wait a few minutes for it to cool. What I’m disappointed about is the Dubai drink. I love all of the different Dubai style treats I’ve had. This one though is on the very bottom of my list. The pistachio flavor is there at first but then it’s quickly taken over by the strong flavor of chocolate syrup. To me, it tastes like a grassy-strawberry-nature chocolate milk😂. Definitely not what I was going for, especially not for the price. So overall it’s not a BAD drink at all!! but it does not give the Dubai flavor I was hoping for. Maybe if I got it again I’d request very very light...

I've been to lots of boba shops across the state during my travels before the pandemic, from popular chains in the SF Bay Area to boutique cafes in LA, and without a hint of hyperbole this little shop on the corner of a strip mall in Redding is one of the best. The boba is consistently soft, sweet, and the perfect chewy texture. The drinks are well made. The selection is incredibly varied for such a humble establishment. The staff is friendly and patient, and clearly passionate about boba. Highly recommend the Okinawa milk tea, Thai tea, Lavender milk tea, and butterfly pea tea lemonades (especially with fruit popping boba).
