Where’s the cream for this Polo a la Creama dish? Why child size portions at an adult price?
I’ve been ordering Pollo a la creama from this place for over 15 years. With every order, the portion size gets smaller and smaller. Tonight, I see they’re using smaller containers and barely filling them. This used to be a white creamy sauce and the cheese was a white cheese (Monterey Jack I believe), but now there’s no cream and there’s just a little cheddar (cheddar does NOT belong on this dish). It’s mainly dry with a little cream of mushroom and NO sour cream mixed in. The little bit of sauce is brown!! Times must be tough there for them to try to deceive people with the smaller container that’s definitely not full and ingredient changes. This was not worth what I paid tonight!! I will still be ordering my favorite, but it will be from a different restaurant. They didn’t even throw on a few tomatoes or use red peppers along with the green. This is a total rip off that definitely does not even taste like it once did. You’ve lost a long term loyal customer!! Don’t even bother ordering this dish that was once so good. Taco Bell would have been better and...
Read moreI have been a customer for many many years and there is a reason for that, which I'm not going to get into at this time. Kidding. The customer service, design/cleanliness of restaurant and the food is MAGNIFICENT! I feel like I'm actually transported from Redding CA to Puerto Vallarta, which is a major appeal for me and one of the best aspects of the whole experience. The employees are super friendly, professional and very attentive to your needs. I had the special of the day, #2 with shredded beef which included 2 enchiladas and a taco for $8.49. The portions are huge, this was 2 meals for me and I'm a big guy. They included chips and salsa in the meal. The salsa is so amazing I could drink it from the cup, which I have before, when nobody is looking. I highly recommend eating and "vacationing" here in a sense, just to get away from Redding for a...
Read moreHad an impromptu family dinner at Puerto Vallarta Family restaurant on Hartnell Ave in Redding. We arrived for an early dinner, about 3:30 in the afternoon. The restaurant wasn't very busy. We were seated right away. There was only one server working at the time, which was completely understandable for the time of day. Unfortunately, we were a group of 8 and that kind of put a lot upon the staff. The server did a good job of taking care of the restaurant's patrons, in my opinion. The food we ordered was presented nicely and was of large portion size. I found my order (chili Colorado) to be very tasty. I enjoyed it. Most in our party enjoyed the food. There was a sense from a couple of our group that we waited a bit too long for the food to be served. Otherwise, a good...
