Now, truth is, I may have not visited the place at one of its upswing moments, fair enough. However, even on an off weeknight visit, this place, for all of us interior decorations, style very tasteful, and view to enough TVs to keep any game night hopping, is where it feels Karma's has purposely, taken a sharp, turn down conservative avenue. I will clarify that the location they occupy, was occupied by one of the most notorious wild spots you could find especially on that side of town. "The Sports Bar" anyone remember? Crazy, wild, and wacky antics were the name of the game there. Fights, cops, it was the Wild West! Only comparison would be the Hen House maybe... Anyway, this place is in no danger of becoming another sports bar. It is quiet, kind of like the funeral home it reminds me of. I am not taking any jabs at the owners, or certainly not at their tasteful interior design capabilities. I guess, you don't need to be the Sports Bar, but you can't let the pendulum swing to far the other way either. After all, it is...
Read moreI was a bartender in Reno, Nevada for over 30 years and was truly disappointed in Karma's on my one and only visit. Cocktails were very expensive, especially for what we ordered. I bought a round of drinks for 2 friends and myself. The total was $38. 🤯 Older woman bartender never smiled, was very slow, and with no personality. I paid for our drinks with 2 $20 bills and the bartender never came back to where we were. Empty glasses and beer bottles were not picked up. Then the bartender closed 2 hours early ( at midnight) with more than 20 people in the bar area with it being Kareoke night and all. Also all the pool tables were full with drinking customers. So why would she say last call at midnight when Karma's was suppose to be open until 2am? The owner of Karma's is definitely losing money with this sour bartender. Very disappointing. A happy hour and a upbeat bartender with a friendly smile is much...
Read moreI love the updated look and feel of the old sports bar. A much needed overhaul of this place, inviting atmosphere fun fresh decor and signs make this a nice place to hangout on those oh so hot days. The food was pretty amazing! They can lettuce wrap burgers and sandwiches for those that are gluten free. We had the nachos, they home make the corn tortilla chips (which are so crispy delicious) and the cheese sauce which is gluten free also(sorry for the small photo of nachos they were Soo good I almost forgot to take a picture of them lol) The parmesan garlic fries with the chipotle aioli is Soo good. Happy hour all day on Sundays, I have to say for 4 people with 2 drinks each and the snacks it was very reasonable! 2 Pool tables, and multiple TVs, I only wish they still had darts cause that's my favorite. But we really liked this...
